I received the rod as a gift in the 70's but never used it and only showed it off a couple times. Otherwise it has lived its entire life its original tube. You'll receive the 2 piece rod in its original sock in its original tube. I believe this is the best rod i own(and i do own a few) i just have never seen the metal ferrals, putting the sections together. Also the burgundy color is fantastic, however getting an adequate pic of that has proven difficult. Should you win this rod i assure you, you will not be disappointed.
