I have for auction a Sears Roebuck& Co. Vintage Bent Wood Fishing Net. This net is a J.C. Higgins. The net is in good condition and I did not see any damage. There is breaks or damage on the wood. On the inside of the wood in the net area is a measuring tape decal. The length of the net measures 24" long and 10 1/2" at the widest point. Here we have for your consideration is this antique or early vintage fisherman's landing net. Great for fly fishing as a mater of fact I have used it this spawning season! It is made of a bamboo frame with a wicker ratan wrap& has a very strong netting that goes from green to brownish olive to black! It has landed everything from large 32" steelhead trout to the little rock bass& smallies that I always catch in the summer. I got a new net just recently& want to pass this on to a collector as it will just get beat up with me. I think it is at least 50 years old It was my great grandfathers. I have had it hanging in my kitchen& it makes a nice decor item as well as being a well made working net! No holes or breaks in the extremely strong netting. I think my asking price is very fair considering the sentimental attachment ... morehowever I would love to hear your offers! I just want it to find a home where it will be treasured as an antique angler's collectible! It measures 22" long& the net is about 20" deep. VINTAGE TROUT FISHING NET This auction is for a very nice hand held wooden fishing net. I beleive it is Promar. Althought there is no sticker remaining. The wooden part measures 23 3/8 inches long and 11 inches across and 3/4 inch thick. The red net hangs down 20 inches and the handle cord has elasticity to it. Vintage collapsible metal ring trout landing net w / cloth bag for fishing
This unmarked net has a 10" x 12" net ring. A rubber gripped handle that expands to 21" from it's 11" The bag appears to be original. There is some light surface rust which should be easily cleaned. Vintage Wood South Bend No. TN-15 Deluxe Trout Fly Fishing Hand Landing Net We have a great old laminated wood trout net made by the South Bend Company. This particular model is the hard to find TN-15 Deluxe Trout Net. There are a few TN-17s available. But the more compact TN-15 is a bit harder to find. The wood has aged into a pleasant mellow light oak tone. This has a comfortable feel in the hand. This will be great back in a stream or on display as decor in a trophy room. Condition: The green net is in great shape. No rips, tears, holes or repairs. The wood appears to be in good shape, not great but better than fair. There are ware marks from use, some dings and scrapes and some old adhesive is left on the upper part of the hand grip on one side… it appears it will come off with some goo-gone, but I will leave that to the new owner. The ... morebrown elastic wrist wrap is in good shape, though the metal clip has a bit of rust on it. If you are looking for a brand new fishing net, please keep looking as this is not what this is.
