Really excellent condition. Nylon mesh net hand laced to the frame. Veneer looks like(I'm no expert) bamboo/cedar/ash/pine from outside in. All single piece. No joints. Shellac is perfect, no dings. Cord is 31" long and kinda strechy. Frame is 23 1/4" long and the opening is 15" ny 10 1/2" Weighs 8 ounces! No reserve On Jan-31-13 at 11:37:25 PST. The wooden part measures 23 3/8 inches long and 11 inches across and 3/4 inch thick. The red net hangs down 20 inches and the handle cord has elasticity to it. I noted a couple different things about it that the other 2 nets I am going to list dont have. 1 There is a tape measure on the inside on 1 side of the net for measuring your fish while its still in the net. 2 The net is strung using the same material as the net itself. About 23" long total. The widest part of the net area is about 10" across. Good used vintage condition. The bottom of the handle has leather on it. The piece of leather that is left is very brittle. Vintage Wood South Bend No. TN-15 Deluxe Trout Fly Fishing Hand Landing Net We have a great old laminated wood trout net made by the South Bend Company. This particular model is the hard to find TN-15 Deluxe Trout Net. There are a few TN-17s available. But the more compact TN-15 is a bit harder to find. The wood has aged into a pleasant mellow light oak tone. This has a comfortable feel in the hand. This will be great back in a stream or on display as decor in a trophy room. Condition: The green net is in great shape. No rips, tears, holes or repairs. The wood appears to be in good shape, not great but better than fair. There are ware marks from use, some dings and scrapes and some old adhesive is left on the upper part of the hand grip on one side… it appears it will come off with some goo-gone, but I will leave that to the new owner. VINTAGE WALKER WOOD WOODEN TROUT NET FLY FISHING W/ WRAPPED HANDLE
This vintage"Walker" wooden trout net with a wrapped handle is in good used condition with some light scuffs and scratches on the wood-there are also a couple of places where the wood has come unglued and there are thin gaps. The name"Walker" is on both sides and both have spots of fading/wear off. The wrapped handle(seems like leather) is in very good shape with no tears or gaps. The netting is solidly in place and there is one large hole(about 2" diameter) in the top half of the net. The rest of the net looks great. The lanyard is in good shape as well with one light stain. This was on the all as a decorative item. When we took down from the wall the Rubber Net was somewhat stuck to the paint in some areas so you will notice on the rubber net their is still a few small areas that have the residue from the wall.
