Here are two boxes of Haywood Flies. Note the prominent logo and the neat graphics on the undercard. In the first are four No. 14 mosquito flies and the box is marked that. The second box is marked No. 12 Royal Coachman Tail and it has four of those as well 12 other size 12 flies that are a mixed lot. Most of the flies are snelled. None of the flies has been fished. VINTAGE TROUT FLY/HOOK/LEADER POUCH TRI-FOLD SNAPPED FAUX LEATHER?
Offered is a vintage faux leather/vinyl? fly/hook/leader pouch. This is a tri-fold pouch with 2 inner pockets as well as 2 hard sleeves with hooks on both ends and a spring in the middle on both side of the sleeve. The pouch as two small marks on the outside and some cracking in the folds on the inside but is in otherwose very good condition. Felt is clean on the inside and plastic sleeves still clear and not scratched. On the outside is a fish with the words Common Sense in the fish. I can find no info on the name. I would guess this to be from the 40s50sor 60s maybe earlier as determined by the snaps of which are old and made by United-Carr and used during that time period. I found this fly fishing pocket hooks tin at a recent estate sale in Westfield. NJ. It was in a big tackle box that had items in it dating back to the 1930s. The flies are in excellent shape and really are remarkable as you can see by the photos. There are about 26 flies and one Pflueger Indiana spinner. The case and the flies don't have a logo or maker's mark on them. The tin snaps shut at its lip opening. The tin has some scratches. Purchased at an estate sale. From a former avid fly fisherman. I cannot find a makers mark.but I believe it ia an older style ORVIS North Fork model. Metal handle slides up or down, and securely locks into place. Measures 22" long when opened, x 8" wide. Net is about 22.5" long. Net looks secure and intact, I dont see any holes. I will include the old military belt case holder.not original to the net, but is a good case for it now. The shock cord at the end of the net is in fine condition too. Thanks for looking. Vintage Wood South Bend No. TN-15 Deluxe Trout Fly Fishing Hand Landing Net We have a great old laminated wood trout net made by the South Bend Company. This particular model is the hard to find TN-15 Deluxe Trout Net. There are a few TN-17s available. But the more compact TN-15 is a bit harder to find. The wood has aged into a pleasant mellow light oak tone. This has a comfortable feel in the hand. This will be great back in a stream or on display as decor in a trophy room. Condition: The green net is in great shape. No rips, tears, holes or repairs. The wood appears to be in good shape, not great but better than fair. There are ware marks from use, some dings and scrapes and some old adhesive is left on the upper part of the hand grip on one side… it appears it will come off with some goo-gone, but I will leave that to the new owner. The ... morebrown elastic wrist wrap is in good shape, though the metal clip has a bit of rust on it. If you are looking for a brand new fishing net, please keep looking as this is not what this is.
