Some numbers for you: Measuring seam to seam. Bottom of armpit, to other armpit bottom, 22" Measuring top to bottom. Its just about 23" crossing over centered black cortland label, from top of back of neck, down to back of waist. According to another Ebay ad for same Cortland item. W/ same measurements, this item is indeed size: men's XL. The live bug container was attached by previous angler(dad) and is easily removable. But, consider that i t is a great effect for passers by- a dangling bug-sample container shows everyone that you are an expert angler and naturalist. Condition: It really looks good. Offered is a vintage faux leather/vinyl? fly/hook/leader pouch. This is a tri-fold pouch with 2 inner pockets as well as 2 hard sleeves with hooks on both ends and a spring in the middle on both side of the sleeve. The pouch as two small marks on the outside and some cracking in the folds on the inside but is in otherwose very good condition. Felt is clean on the inside and plastic sleeves still clear and not scratched. On the outside is a fish with the words Common Sense in the fish. I can find no info on the name. I would guess this to be from the 40s50sor 60s maybe earlier as determined by the snaps of which are old and made by United-Carr and used during that time period. Antique fly fishing Wading landing net bamboo frame strong netting Trout stream
Here we have for your consideration is this antique or early vintage fisherman's landing net. Great for fly fishing as a mater of fact I have used it this spawning season! It is made of a bamboo frame with a wicker ratan wrap& has a very strong netting that goes from green to brownish olive to black! It has landed everything from large 32" steelhead trout to the little rock bass& smallies that I always catch in the summer. I got a new net just recently& want to pass this on to a collector as it will just get beat up with me. I think it is at least 50 years old It was my great grandfathers. I have had it hanging in my kitchen& it makes a nice decor item as well as being a well made working net! No holes or breaks in the extremely strong netting. I think my asking price is very fair considering the sentimental attachment ... morehowever I would love to hear your offers! From my uncle’s estate is this old L. L. Bean fly fishing net in super condition. It comes in a canvas case that is 24” long x 3 ½” wide and has the original made by L. L. Bean Freeport. Me label. The net is also marked L. L. Bean on the frame that swings out to be 12” wide and 16” long. The cotton net that 22” deep and still in usable condition. You can screw one handle with the rubber grip to make it 20” long great for wading or screw on the 20”extension. Great to use in your canoe or kayak. Patagonia River walker fly fishing vest like brand new
This is a gray XL men's fly fishing vest and it is in outstanding condition. No rips or scuff or tears or abrasions. Everything clicks- zips- and moves perfectly. It is polyester but I don't not see a model# on it so I took several photos. It is a really comfortable neck and has pockets everywhere inside and out I was like a well oiled machine out there with this thing very efficient. I used it 3 seasons I believe and it was very practical. I also have a honing stone attached to it then is tied on but fits into a pocket on it so it's always handy and one less thing to remember where it is. I noted a couple different things about it that the other 2 nets I am going to list dont have. 1 There is a tape measure on the inside on 1 side of the net for measuring your fish while its still in the net. 2 The net is strung using the same material as the net itself. About 23" long total. The widest part of the net area is about 10" across. Good used vintage condition. The bottom of the handle has leather on it. The piece of leather that is left is very brittle.
