Up for auction is this vintage advertising fishing thermometer. It has a plaque on it saying: keystone mfg. 2012 arch st. Phila. Pa. It is marked on the back of the thermometer tower pat pend. It is in great as found condition. There is no cracks chips or repairs. please see picture#8, that is not a crack it is a casting line not a crack guarenteed) The item is a pot metal with a copper wash. there is some flaking of the copper but very minor flaking. The item measures 5 inches wide at the base. It is 4 1/2 inches tall. I believe this is from the late 1930s' or up to the mid 1940s' It has a deco appearance to it. The thermometer is not too accurate. It is about 5 degree off the actual temp. This is a pretty cool item in nice as found condition. The old, vintage battery was in a s separate plastic bag in a box. The compartment where it resides is as clean as a whistle. I'm sure that with a fresh battery it would work fine if so desired.
