Very OLD/antique/vintage Heddon 150 Dowagiac. This is the Big Body version in Frog Spot. One hook is partially straightened and there is slight rust on some of the hooks. The other hardware is in great shape. The bode has some Knicks. Scrapes, dings and scuff marks. The paint has a few age cracks, but not bad for a 90 year old lure.the glass eyes and the props are in good shape. The box is NOT the original box. This lure has been stored in this box for a VERY long time. The box is for a Wiggler. Pat. April 1, 02. The box is in very bad condition. It is barely holding itself together. It had 3 holes punched in the top where it appears to have been used to store crickets or grasshoppers. The paperwork is also for a Wiggler. It has condition issues as well. Vintage Heddon Dowagiac 150 Minnows And Near Surface Wiggler Fishing Lures Beate
Up for your consideration are a couple of Heddon 150 minnows in rough shape in crackleback. One has been painted over with brown paint. They have considerable amount of paint loss and chips. One prop is broken. The near surface wiggler has been painted over white. Looks like the original color was bar perch. Glass eyes seem to be intact and in nice shape. Great lures for repaint or an example of the lures until you could upgrade. Being sold as is with no refunds. I ship in the United States only. Exact age ... moreunknown however we would think this is 1920's- 40's era or before. LURE CONDITION: This older Rainbow minnow lure measures aprox. 3-3/4" long. lovely rainbow Heddon 150 Dowagiac Minnow 1920s glass eyes COLORFUL box too
H ere is a handsome rainbow Heddon 150 with glass eyes and L-rig hardware. It is very shiny and shows great from all sides. With a tiny chip off part of the belly weight and a couple minor dings being the only detractors. Box is decent but not'perfect' and appears to have stamped number on endflaps but it is faded and I cant read it, but it does not look like"150" so I'm not sure what it says. The lure and box were found together though so will be sold that way as well. Photos show condition. There is no reserve. I am once again selling some of my husbands fishing collection for him. He had been collecting MANY years. So here you go. SPECIFICS THAT I KNOW Uncommon Goldfish color Orange base with Gold Scales Glass eyes- 1 eye has cracks(see Pic) L" Style Heddon Hook Rig( Circa 1914-1934) 5 Hook Design. Imprinted Heddon on one front blade and Dowagiac on the other front blade. This lure has been well used. Has some scratches and chips. Also shows some rust on hooks. If you know how to clean it up. ANTIQUE HEDDON DOWAGIAC MINNOW 150 FANCY BACK WOODEN BOX
This fine box is a Heddon Dowagiac Minnow wooden wooden box. It has dovetailed construction with a slide wood top. The red lettering. Which exists on 3 sides, is faded- more so on the sides than on the top. The top reads as follows: The"Dowagiac Minnow" Patented in Canada and in the United States April 1. 1902 And Other Patents Applied for by James Heddon& Son, Dowagiac, Michigan. Notice how the Hooks are Hung! No Interlocking Instantly Detachable Catches More Fish. The ends read as follows: Heddons Dowaigiac Minnow Fancy Back No. 150. There is also some drawing on the top in pencil. I will not attempt to remove that. The entire box measures 5 7/8" long by 2 3/8" deep and 1 5/8" tall. I have no lure and no papers. I purchased this recently at an estate sale. It was used to store old stamps! It's a beautiful ... morebox and a fine piece of fishing history. Thank you.

Most said it was a Heddon 150, 300, prototype, or Jeannette Hawley Mohawk. With some good help from a friend this is what this lure is being listed as. Wooden Heddon 150, high forehead, shallow brass cup hardware, small yellow glass eyes, 2 belly weights. There are NO broken hooks, used condition. H ere is a very rough Heddon 250 Underwater Minnow. Which was a short-lived 2-hook, belly-rigged cousin of the famous 5-hook Heddon 150 Dowagiac Underwater Minnow. This one is in rough shape with much paint loss and varying generations of adding varnish or paint, but you can still see its original color- red scale. If you would be happy with a well worn but surviving example of one of Heddon's most elusive minnows, this one might be for you. Photos show condition. There is no reserve.
