Vintage Rinehart Musky Jinx Lure In Odd Color / Scale
I do not know the grading process when it comes to lures. So use the pictures as your guide. There is a bit of salt water corrosion on the hooks and I took the split ring off of the center hanger to avoid any extra rubbing on lure body. These usually run for about $ 30.00 each so I'll knock this one down to $ 9.99 starting bid.

Rinehart Tackle Co. "JINX" VINTAGE MUSKIE LURE w/BOX USED
RINEHART TACKLE CO. JINX" MUSKIE(MUSKY) LURE- Manufactured in Newark. Ohio during the late 1940's- early 1950's. This line of surface lures featured an early cellulose thermoplastic named"Tenite" Features include a 5" body(length) 3 sets of(needle sharp) treble hooks and beautiful paint application. My research on the subject of these lures indicates a general standardization for several color options, though variations did occurred throughout production history. The Rinehart lures I'm selling were purchased by my grandfather via mail order in the late'40's who was an avid muskie hunter. They were passed on to my dad and were still in service until the mid'80's(I caught my first legal muskie on a"Jinx" My dad and I"retired" them when one Buzer literally fell apart when cast. ... moreAs these lures were heavily used. They exhibit the wear and tear associated normal used(a few show teeth marks from fish strikes) While I would rate the condition of these lures from Good to Fair, the boxes on the other hand, are very poor. To start with, my grandfather cut holes in the lids so he could see the color without taking the lure out and being made of paper or card stock, they show their age. They are, however, the original boxes. I'm not sure if the lure color matches the code visible on some of the box lids; I have no information to decipher the code with the appropriate color(nor do I have the energy to get involved in that task) As to the color, condition and/or other features of each lure, please refer to the photos for reference and identification. I'm not a collector(though I am aware these lures do have some collector appeal) so I leave the veracity of these lures to your viewing inspection. At any rate. This is a very old lure, a nice example of when fishing tackle still involved some hand work and craftsmanship. Questions? Vintage Rinehart Bass Sized Jinx w/ box
Vintage Fred Rinehart Tackle Co. Wooden Bass Sized Jinx in good condition w/ original box. The model number on this box looks like BWH. But it's pretty worn. The lure itself has definitely been used and shows signs of wear. There is also glue( along the backside, which I would imagine, could be easily removed, but I didn't want to risk cleaning it. This item comes from our friend Mike and his lifetime collection. This is a NEW YORK COLLECTION! MARKINGS: The lure is NOT marked. No markings were found. Exact age unknown however we would think this is 1940's- 50's era. LURE CONDITION: Measures aprox. 4-3/4" long. The lure is made ... moreof TENITE and has molded eyes! We aren't sure of the exact color code for this one but we called it GOLDFISH. Rinehart made the lure in about 80 different colors! This has some light scattered nicks seen as small white specks in the pictures. Most of the paint is nicely intact. This is similar in color to GOLDFISH.
