ANTIQUE/VINTAGE FISHING LURE/ OZZY RUSH TANGO SOS #RT- 7
This is an original Rush Tango SOS wooden lure. The story on these is much the same as the history on my Creek Chub Shur Strike River Masters. These lures are very old and were made by the Rush Tango Company of Syracuse New York. The company was in business from 1914 until the mid 1930s. This particular model is the SOS. I acquired a number of these and they were unfinished wooden blanks. Meaning they were in a rough state without pre-drilled holes, primer, paint or hardware of any kind. The blanks appeared as if they had been stored away in someone's attic for all these years and that is pretty much the story I got on them. Many of the lures had small dings in the wood from banging around in the box for almost 100 years. I fixed the bad dings, but left the very small ones alone as they don't really detract from the appearance of ... morethe finished lure. Each lure will come in a 2 pc box with a top label of my own design, an end label that is a photo of the lure inside and a label on the other end with the company name and lure model stated. There will also be a paper inside the box that gives a short history of the company and lure. These lures are almost 100 years old and are a very interesting piece of American fishing history. The lures and boxes make a wonderful gift to any fisherman and display nicely in the den or bookcase. I made no attempt to reproduce any of the original paint schemes. I enjoy the painting and try not to duplicate any. All are different in some way as far as the painting goes. There is obviously, a very limited supply of these lures. We hope you like them.
