A very nice collectable lure-with gold painted eyes and several pointers on the head and age lines throughout. The paint job is intact-this lure is weighted and the diameter shows through the paint just above the front hook in the red, this lure is really in pretty good shape as I feel it was fished. Unless it just knocked around in someones tackle box for years. Those pointer are not made by the lures own hooks, cause they cannot reach the pointers.

Up for auction is a rare. Wooden,vintage King Zig Wag model 8359XRY fishing lure manufactured by Heddon intended to catch salmon, pike, musky and saltwater species. Heavy duty bait by design. Bait measures 5" Bait color pattern is yellow shore minnow. Beautiful color pattern. Paint has some crazing on the belly and the bait has some rubs. Belly weight is evident and paint is still intact. Hardware has some corrosion. Glass eyes are black on yellow and are in fine shape. Leather double tail is missing. On the belly is stenciled in green"HEDDON KING ZIG-WAG" Box lid has some light edge/corner wear, some staining and has darkened with age. Box top and bottom are straight and solid with no corner tears. On the end of the box lid is stamped"8359XRY King Zig Wag" Also included is the rare green"Heddon Tackle" ... morepocket catalog. VINTAGE OLD FISHING LURE BOX (empty) HEDDON 8300 series KING ZIG-WAG PBH
This auction offers a"tackle box find" empty HEDDON" Brush" cardboard box that originally held a 8369PBH King Zig-Wag(Pacific Blue Herring paint color) The box does not have any paperwork. This box is empty with NO fishing lure included. There was an antique. Wooden glass-eye Heddon fishing lure found in this box, but thru expert advice we have determined that the lure is not correct for the box. We will list the lure found in the box on a separate auction listing(listing# 261735205670) I will be listing quite a few empty boxes as well as old vintage fishing lures still in their original box that were found in this vintage steel"Outing" tackle box acquired from an estate sale. CONDITION: just average" as found" condition as one might expect from cardboard boxes that have been bouncing around in an old ... moresteel fishing tackle box for 65 to 75 years. This box is pretty solid. With no split corners on either the box top or box bottom. The graphics printing is fairly bright and the box is soiled, but not terrible. The top is not crumpled. Torn, or dented, but is clearly"weather" or worn looking. It is very easy to read the stamping on the end panel that says: 8369 King-Zig-Wag" and some pencil marks on the bottom( a penciled on price of.87 cents) I would rate the box 8 and 1/2 on the 10 scale. The color code stamping of" PBH" we believe to be indicating a P acific B lue H erring painted Heddon 8369 series King Zig-Wag. The(extra long) two piece cardboard box measures 7 and 3/8ths inches long. By 2 and 1/4th inches wide, by a little over 1 and 3/8th inches deep. One expert we consulted with stated that the lure found in this box was not correct for it. Even though it is a blue herring Zig-Wag, as it does not measre a full 6 inches long as 8369 series"King" Zig-Wags do. We listed the lure on another auction listing. This is a Vintage Old Heddon Zig-Wag Fishing Lure. It is in fished condition. The measurements are as follows: Body 4" Red/ White See the multiple pictures and judge condition for yourself. I have aprox 15 Vintage lures I will be listing in the next several weeks. Most of the lures I will be listing have been fished and will show signs of use i.e. rusty hooks. pair of 20s-30s Heddon Zig-Wag glass eye antique wooden lures jointed shiner
H ere are two old Heddon Zig-Wag antique lures. the Redhead/Shiner scale has some chipping on right side of mouth(see closeup photo) but still looks pretty nice but the red/white one is in rough condition with lots of wear and agelines and appears to also have some old touchup on edge of mouth. Photos show condition. There is no reserve. These and other items up for current auction are from a large collection/accumulation of antique lures that were part of an estate in the Midwest. HEDDON ZIG WAG 8309 MRH Never Used Original Box Wooden Fishing Lure
Very clean lure that has the original hook protectors and has never been used. The box is about 4.5 inches long. A sage word of advice. Avoid dealing with oldfishshop79. I've blocked them as they bid on nine items and never paid for one but tried to get me to ship them saying payment was on the way via an electronic check. Ebay should kick such deadbeats off the system. I would suggest you block them as the odds are you will never get paid. 6.75 Priority Mail and I do accept all forms of payment with the fat greasy pig my least favorite form of payment.
