I used it on one trip to fly fish for trout in Western Maryland and Virginia. And it was great. Casts accurately with smooth, fast action, gently played trout on lighter tippet, and has the heft to really get some line out. I'm selling it because I bought a used Winston WT 6wt 9ft-and old three piece from the 90s-that is heavier. Has slower action but is the right rod for me! Used the rod/reel for one season. Only had the chance to give it a couple of days to fish the late king run here in WI. Figured I wasn't going to fly fish anymore due to school/work, and that I'm more of a float fisherman. The rod is super light! And is still in great condition, casts awesome, and handles fish like a beaut. The abel reel has some cosmetic wear from setting it on rocks from previous catches, but it still operates like it's brand new. I will not sell them separately, only as a setup all together.
