Up for sale is a L IGHTLY used Berkley Lightning Shock. It is 7' Med Heavy Action. Fireline 30-50 lb recommended. Trilene 10-25 lb recommended. Lure weight 1/4- 1 1/4. The rod is mainly orange with gray and black. There are 7 rod eyes and a hook keeper. A split grip handle. There may be a few scuffs just due to transpo rt of the rod in the boat. I have honestly used this rod only 5 or 6 times. I just don't have the time to go or use this rod. Most of the time it is ultra light rods with my 3 year old. These were used by a local sporting goods store to display different spinning reels. All three handles came from Berkley Lightning Rods. All have the blanks cut off near the handles. All three have padded handles and fore grips. All have some soil and some scrapes on the padding. All are very usable if you’re just trying to build your own rod. It’s a 7 1/2’ 2 pc, Berkley Stream Specialist, marked as a 6 weight but casts beautifully as a 5 weight as well. Includes the original tube and rod sock. Very Good condition, only one slight mark where the reel seat ring has pressed against the reel seat insert. A fine trout rod and this model isn’t commonly seen. Please make note of the spigot ferrule which adds to the casting ability of this fine glass flyrod. I’ll supply the PVC tube. This is a vintage Apache fly rod by Berkley. It's in nice condition exept the male ferrel appears to be stuck inside the female ferrel and will need to be removed and reglued to the bottom half of the rod. I can't see the ferrel inside there but the rod fits together snug as it is but needs to be repaired to make sure it stays attached while casting. Otherwise no other issues. All line guides are in tact and the ties are nice and tight. See the pictures. I have many more lures as well as fishing items so be sure and check my other listings. These rods are the best rod ever for casting small lures with light line-like small crank baits on 6-8 lb test in cold water. Great for taking on a trip since it will break down into two pieces for storage. It will cast small baits like a 1/8 th oz. Beetle Spin farther than any rod I have ever used. This rod has the lure keeper feature to hook your bait in to while traveling. The suggested lure weight is 1/8 to 3/4 but the rods is best with light baits.Line suggestion is 4-12 and 8 is perfect on this rod.
