Here’s a like new. Dyna King Kingfisher fly tying vise. Bought from my local fly shop some winters ago for the purpose of lightening my traveling fly ... moretying kit. I don’t think I’ve ever tied a single fly on it…I’m just way too comfortable with my pedestal vise with its mounted Dyna-King accessories(profile plate, bobbin cradle etc) that I have never really used this Kingfisher. Here’s a few things worth knowing on this particular vise: Shares same jaws as the more expensive vises from Dyna-king—you get the same great hook holding power. About half the weight and needs less space than a similar vise with a pedestal base. Great for going in a portable kit or mounting to a table or in Oasis style bench. I had an extra material holder lying on my fly tying desk so put it on this(the spring thing around the shaft—holds flashabou/feathers/etc out of the way while you work on other aspects of a fly) Made in the USA—don’t get to say that about many of the vises your buddies have at fly tying classes… You can get more info from dyna-king website if needed. I don’t have the original box. You’ll get this vise properly packaged for transport shipped with delivery confirmation, insured, to the USA only. Guaranteed as advertised else return for a refund. Dyna King Professional fly tying vise, customized with Caddy, mint.
I have up for auction a Dyna King Professional with a custom base and matching caddy with oak tool holder. I built all parts for this set out of machined or cast aluminum. The round bases are all solid cast aluminum with black leather lining on the bottom. The round dished bases are especially handy for storing tools while tying. The heavy weight of the bases makes the vise exceptionally stable. I am the original owner and have had this set for over 20 years but only used it a dozen times. I didn't fly fish as much as I thought I would and ended up buying my flies when I do. This is a very nice set and beautiful to look at as well as being very functional. Unique. Used Dyna King Professional Vise with these extras. The vise comes mounted on an AK Best base. You can't find the AK vises or bases very often. This base is heavier, more stable and has the proprietary"third hand" that came on all the AK vises. In addition the vise has the magnum jaws(in the vise now) and two extra sets of regular jaws-both in great condition. You'll notice a hackle gauge attached to the stem, the Dyna King material clip on top of the vise, the bench clamp for the vise comes with it along with a gallows hanger, and last but not least the Dyna King cement reservoir. This is a used Dyna King Fly Tying Vise that is about 8 years old. The vise is in very good shape with the exception of the jaws which have some cosmetic spots of corrosion(see photo#2) Also. There are a few flecks of paint/varnish here and there. The jaws other moving parts of the vise function without issue. This vise is a full rotary vice with the Dyna King standard jaws capable of handling size 8-22 hooks. It comes with a clamp stand, trim bag, and light weight bobbin hanger. This was given to my father as a 70th birthday present and felt that he could use a hobby. He attempted to use it a couple of times. But never did tie a fly. It has been stored inside in a climate controlled home for the last 5 years and he has asked me to sell it or give it to my son who is 12. There is no way I was going to give it to him unless he was really passionate about tying flies, which he is not. I can barley get him to fish. I believe I paid around $600 for this at Cabella's.
