DANVISE TRUE ROTARY FLY TYING VISE
This is a very little used Danvise for true 360 degree. Adjustable tension, in-line rotary fly tying vise made in Denmark. The body parts of the vise are made of space-age Delrin while the jaws are of perfectly tempered steel and the hooks are locked into place with a simple cam lever under the jaws. This vise can also be locked in place as a standard fixed type vise. According to the manufacturer, this vise will handle hook sizes from 32 to 9/0 and the jaws are adjustable for jaw placement as well. The rotation system revolves on ball bearings and is extremely smooth with the rear crank in perfect position for true in line rotation. It is currently set up for right handed use but an extra jaw holder is included which changes the vise to left handed use! Also included is an adjustable bobbin rest that can also double as a"parachute" ... morematerial holder when adjusted up over the hook! Here is a Thompson Vison model Rotary Fly Tying Vise. I bought some leftover stock from a fishing store and this was in it- I dont believe it was ever used(still had the store price tag on it) but it is a bit dusty from being on display and then in storage for quite a while(I think the very light surface rust on the jaws will clean right off with some steel wool) I believe this was their top of the line model when it came out maybe 15 years ago or so. They do not seem to come up for auction on ebay very often- the most recent one I could find was from 2011. Hope someone can give this one a good home. Please email with any questions.
