Regal fly tying vise Vintage
Estate find vintage Regal fly vise. Vise has small chip in jaws but holds hooks firmly when inserted correctly, i tied a few size 6 wooly buggers to test and jaws hold a hook like a regal vise should. The stem is 4 1/2" in length which is suitable for a pedistal base, what you see in the pictures is what you get. Thanks for looking! I accept paypal only. Up for bid is a very nice vintage Fly Tying Kit by Regal.This kit contains a fly tying vise.Tying tools copper and tinsel wrapping,dry fly dressing,fly head cement,hooks and a lot of tying feathers still in their packages. I feel back in its day it was a starter kit for beginners.I tried the vise on the end of a table and put a hook in the jaws. Both the table clamp and the hook clamp fit snugly. CONDITION ISSUES-The box has a stain and shelf wear-There is no instructiion book.Neither of these issues affect the operation of the tools and materials inside the box. At Auction: What I believe to be a vintage Regal Fly Tying Vise with C Clamp& Ball Arm or Handle. I guess it could be a knock off as fly fishing& fly tying. While not foreign to me, are not household activities. This thing is well made and aside from the surface rust is in good condition. The handle for the clamp is easily turned and clamps the vise in nice and tight and the arm moves freely and still clamps and holds tightly as well. See condition description above for more details.
