Antique Vintage Girl's Sewing Holder Kit Drawstring Bag Russet Spools
A very old young girl's sewing holder. It's a russet coloured draw-string bag with a padded board in the base. The base has a small box attached to it. Which holds the sewing spools. On the lid of the box is'for a little girl' The box measures 2-1/2" x 1-3/4" x 3/8" and it is stitched onto the base. It holds 12 tiny wooden spools. They don't appear to have been used. The box has a small ribbon on either side that can be tied to hold the lid on. The base has elastic loops for sewing accessories. There is a row of pins through padding of the base too. The bag measures approx. 8" deep. The board base is 5" x 5" There is a beige draw-string ribbon that runs through a pocket. About 1" from the top. There are different sized rings attached around the inside. A couple have safety pins attached ... moreto them. The tassel, which seems to be a covered piece of wood? is attached to one of the rings. Antique Industrial Sewing Machine "Thread Holder" For Large Spools of Thread
This Industrial Thread(Spool) Holder was found at an estate sale. It was mounted on the work station of a very old industrial Singer Sewing Machine. It is made of very sturdy metal, has some paint chips with surface rust, but otherwise in good condition. As you can see in the photos, it will accomodate 2 large spools of thread. The top bracket height is adjustable, the holes in it can be used to route the thread to the sewing machine being used, or fasten it to a stationary support to make it even sturdier, the spool rests height is also adjustable. The bell shaped base mounting bracket has a screw to disconnect the rod, if you'd like to remove it when not in use. Antique primitive 10.5" LARGE WOODEN TEXTILE BOBBIN HOLDER + 2 SPOOLS Thread,
From Lancaster County. PA, home of the Amish& Mennonite communities, this is a large(10-1/2" tall) spool with 2 bobbins that fit into the holder. The bobbins are 9-3/4' tall with metal round rings on the bottom. The baby blue cotton is a slightly heavier ply than the emeral green cotton. Neither appear to have been used. The spool is made out of what I believe to be Tiger Maple based upon the pattern of the wood. It has a gorgeous pattina and pattern and would make a great free standing decorative piece. This is an oval plastic case for holding thread spools. It says"Thread Master- Kerk Guild. Inc. New York, N.Y. Made in U.S.A. Pat. Pend. on the inside bottom. There are 12 wooden spools of thread, a yellow plastic thimble, a few misc. buttons, etc. and two Liberty National Life Insurance Company paper needle holders that were probably given out to customers. The box measures 10 inches x 7 inches and is about 1-1/2 inches high. There are no cracks or chips which is amazing considering it's age and that it's made out of plastic.

What a great authentic antique that can double as a candle holder! This charming remembrance of our industrial past was made by Singer in the early 1900's. It features a metal holder with two antique wood spools and a tall thread guide that is attached by a substantial hinge to a solid wood base. Everything is original. The center post of the spool holder is marked"Simanco USA" The manufacturers of Singer Sewing Machines. The holder was used in early sewing factories, but I have been using it as a candle display with other sewing accessories. The holder is quite substantial. Weighing almost 10 pounds with the two spools. The wood base is 20 inches long and 11 inches wide. It is 2 inches thick. With the spool holder and thread guide. It is 28 inches high from the bottom of the base to the tip of the metal guide. The spool holder ... moreis 13 inches across and 6 inches at it's widest point. Not sure of exact age. approx. 8 3/4"w x 4 3/4"d x 3 1/2"h Spool holders are actually long metal nail(18 all together) Comes with 13 spools of old thread 5 of which are wooden spools& 2 have Clark's labels on them& 1 has Star label. I do not know for sure that the other piece goes with it but at a minium I think it has to do with sewing as there is a ruler carved into wood on one side however I have no idea what this is for. approx. 8 1/2" long. Both pieces are in nice condition for their age. There is some slight seperation of wood(I am not sure what kind of wood box is made from) at seams on sewing box. New and never used only I put to much glue on. When putting it together.Got so frustrated want to sale. It is all wood construction, has 14 spool holders on the side 12 up top and 2 on sides on base with to metal eyelets under the top where you can use bobbins or embroidery thread. Has loose sticks up at the top that need glued in still. Sides has glue at the base on the sides where I glued. Bottom has some glue but not real noctiable like the sides. Bought brand new around $ 50.00 selling for 19.95. Is sturdy a nice piece for sewing. I have pictures where the glue is on sides. It stands about 16" tall. 9 inches wide. Bottom base sticks are 3 inches tall. Has well as sticks on both sides that hold the 14 spools, top sticks are around 2 inches tall that hold 12 bobbins. The thread is coats and clark's mostly some with paper labels some with missing labels and some with no labels at all. This item is made from a hard plastic. The bottom of the holder has the name victory chicago. Very hard to get a photo of this name, it is very small and is the same color of the holder. Antique Vintage Wooden Sewing Spool Caddy Pincushion Holder Primitive w/2 Spools
Up for Auction an Antique/Vintage Wood Sewing Caddy. This caddy is a very heavy piece with strong metal tines that the spools sit on. In the middle is a square pin keeper. Caddy measures 5 3/4" across. Has wear due to age. I did give a quick dusting. Wood base does have a hanging hole in back. Vintage Primitive Stehedco Advertising Piece Wooden Spool Holder for 4 Wood Thread Spools(It once held 5. But one has broken off. It can be replaced with a wooden dowel that you find at the hardware store) Use the original wood spools of thread or remove them and put wrapping ribbon for your gift wrapping, string, or anything else that you could mount on the 3 1/4" long by 1/4" diameter wood poles that the spools are on. It is marked on the front by the maker, L& S, A Stehedco Product" and is made to mount on the wall, with a large screw hole on the top of the back piece of wood. It measures 13 1/2" by 2 1/2" wide at the back piece, and is 3 3/4" deep from the back of the back piece, to the top of any of the mounted spools. It weighs 3/4 lb. There's minor rustic wear to the finish of the wood. The 4 solid ... morewood spools each measure 2 3/4" tall by 7/8" diameter at the bottoms. Each one has good vintage thread on it. The threads come in burgundy. Periwinkle, olive and white and are a natural fiber-I can't tell if they are wool or cotton. All look to have been used, but are mostly full.
