Herter's No. 9 Fly Tying Vise Manufactured by Thompson This was my first fly tying vise when I was a young man. Fantastic shape for its age. Dates back to the late 1960's and early 70's. I have several other vises now but have kept this one. You likely won't find one of these in this kind of condition. I believe that this may be a Thompson"A" vise built for Herter's. The name"Thompson" is on the cam lock lever. Everything functions perfectly. It is still a very useful vise for fly tying, jewelry making, or other tasks requiring the firm hold of small objects.
