Wonderfully-formed, Pike or Muskie Spearing Decoy was hand carved and painted by Michigan's Renowned decoy carver Gerald D. Finch(1931-2001) of Ashton, Michigan, a town located in the central area of Michigan's lower peninsula about 75 miles south of Traverse City. Mr. Finch is one of Michigan's lesser known fish decoy carvers but he has hand-crafted thousands of incredible spearing decoys ranging from fish to ducks to muskrats and frogs. His effective spearing decoys are all wonderfully carved, brightly colored and heavily weighted. Not only are they known for their aesthetic qualities, but also for their ability to bring big pike into your spearing hole for their last meal. Like many carvers, his shop was full of paints, brushes, cut fins and decoy bodies in various stages of completion. The cedar bodied decoy measures 7-1/4" long x 8" wide x 2-3/8" tall and weighs 8-ozs. which includes the perfectly poured in and more than adequately weighted lead ballast weights in the bottom. The decoy has all aluminum metal fins which are perfectly cut into the shape of the duck's wings and the rear rudder. They can all be bent to your liking to swim in whatever pattern the spearer prefers from tight diving circles to long sweeping ascending swimming arcs. The wood carving is astoundingly realistic for a drake goldeneye including the plump, round body, short, thick neck and puffy head with a stubby bill. The glass eyes are carved in and mounted perfectly as is the duck's bill. The wings and rear rudder are inletted and glued deeply into the body as this decoy is as solid and well made as you can get. 8 Unique Vintage Fishcrafters Homemade Ice Fishing Tip Ups Antique, Plus Parts
This lot of 8 Ice Fishing Tip-Ups plus parts is Very Unique in Design. Six are black in color and very light wood and two are clear light wood. The parts are lightweight wood in black and clear wood with metal pointed legs! See pictures to view the pointed metal legs that go down to anchor into ice. They swing down to dig in and swing up to fold away as does the flag! The parts also have some of these legs/anchors mounted on them and well as flags. They have no reels or spools I do have wooden spools with drop line on them that seem homemade selling seperately. Don't know if they go with these. ANTIQUE VINTAGE ICE FISHING CHISEL STEEL 52 IN. PORTABLE TAKE APART SCREW TOOL
This was pulled out of an old ice fishing locker and is in very good usable condition. It weighs 9& 1/2 lbs and is 4.3 feet(52" long when screwed together. It is steel and the screws work freely and securely. The chisel is 1& 3/4 in. wide and in very good condition. It came from Oneida lake NY which is covered with ice fisherman right now.

Vintage Antique Ice fishing pole holder and sled
Up for auction is an antique ice fishing sled and rod holder. It was made in the fifties by my neighbors dad. It has old hinges and screws on the top with a carved out handle and rope to pull it. It is slightly blackened on the inside from the use of a lantern.It has a galvanized sheet metal bottom with brass hooks on the inside for poles and tackle. This is a must have to complete the man cave or the cottage up north. It can still be used also if that's your intentions. It weighs 16 pounds for shipping.

6 Antique OLD-TIME wooden ICE-FISHING single bar Tilts
After many years of operating my retail tackle store i recently sold it and i am preparing to retire to a small log cabin in the Great North Woods. I will have very limited storage so i have been liquidating many of the items which i found while cleaning out the store's basement. Some of these fishing items which i came across date from before my time and were stored there for many years. I don't really even know the actual age of these 6 ice-fishing tip-ups but friends have told me they are probably over 50 years old. These 6 WOODEN and metal devices are old-fashioned. Single-bar ICE FISHING Traps, tilts or some have called them tip-ups, i am not sure of the proper designation) are each approx 24" long by 1" wide and each has"V" shaped notches at either end for winding the line. Each has a crude metal/wire mechanism ... morewhich was meant to trip the flag when a fish struck. These 6 Tip-ups all show their age, most of the string and cloth flags have eroded away, the metal/wire trips have rust and some are bent or missing. The wooden bases are stained and also show considerable age. I think they may have been hand-made but i am not sure. They are definitely OLD. I bought this beautiful decoy from a man in Michigan. Antique Collectible Wooden Ice Fishing Tip Up
fish133- approx 25 1/4" long(not including flag up) x 1 7/8" wide at base x 13/8 wide at top x 5/16" thick. Ice Fishing tip up. A slot was made in the ice/snow and the base of the tip up was packed in snow and/or ice to hold it secure. The line was looped on a 1/2 circle at the end of a weighted brass rod. when the fish pulled the line down the weight slid and held the flag up. This is an old antique ice fishing tip up. I have cut the hook off and the red flag is new. The old felt flag was just about gone from moths. A great conversation piece/wall hanger for the sportsman and/ or decorator.

Lot of 2 Wood Wooden Reel Antique Vintage Ice Fishing Tip Ups or Traps
This is a set of very nice old ice fishing rods or traps tip ups(not sure what they're called) that measures 24" long. Each has a wooden reel that moves freely and has line and a little ring that hooks on the trigger of the trap. Each also has a piece of flexible metal with a little red"flag" on the end that slides out and bends onto another piece. Setting the trap. When a fish gets hooked, it causes the pole with the flag to go up, telling the fisherman a fish is on. Everything is in good condition for the age. There is a sticker stuck to one of the poles that I did not try and remove. Please see pictures for details an feel free to message with any questions.

ANTIQUE" ODDBALL" STEEL ICE FISHING ROD
Up for bid is the oldest heavy duty steel ice fishing rod that I have ever seen; and I own many. Overall length is 3 feet It has ribbed fore grip and butt grip. Very dark wood which could be walnut. Mahogany or teak The reel is 4 1/2 inches in diameter and has a steel lever that acts as the drag( I assume) The rods tip top is very large and measures 1/2 inch in diameter The reel is unmarked and spooled with what appears to be braided copper wire There is a patent number on the reel(See picture#5) It's my guess that this must have been used on the Great Lakes for Lake Trout or very large fish for the line test must be at least 100 pounds This is a very heavy combination and will probably cost 15 to 20 dollars to ship.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Feog4d72f%2Bf7%60%3E-1411b0b5c3e-0x101-

Rare Antique-Wood Sole w/Spikes-Lamb's Wool Leather Nordic Ice Fishing Boots-BIG
I have never seen anything like these boots before! I found these recently at an estate sale in south Georgia-the previous owners were world travelers and their children told me these boots are antiques from Iceland or some Nordic country. They look to be handmade and one of a kind. Each boot measures 14.5" along the bottom of the wooden sole. Amd more than 5" wide. These soles are 1.25" to 1.5" thick! and also have some kind of spikes nailed into them to grip the ice. It appears that they were worn over other boots to fish on the ice. The top of the boots are made from leather(lamb) with the wool on the inside. There is a security strap inside and the front lace up with hooks all the way from the toe to the top. 6 Vintage or Antique Spear Spearing Ice Frog Fishing Decoy U.S. Line Company MA
Here is something unusual. Five old frog or fish spearing heads. One in particular is of interest here. It has the label mark for U.S Line Company Westfield. Mass with an eagle logo, and U.S.L. Brand. I believe this is very rare, I could not find any others like it in past or current listings on this site, I did find some catalogs from this company from the early 1950's. The item is like new, five tines, and measures about 3" x 7' x 1" There is also another one that looks like it is made from brass, or copper, it measures 4" x 9 1/4' x 1 1/8" It is marked, made in ND. Then there is one that is green, heavy steel, with an open tang, it measures 5" x 10 1/4' x 1 1/8" no markings which I can see. Number four is the bigger blue spear head 4 1/4" x 9 1/2" x 1 1/4" no markings. The last ... moreone is the smaller blue spear head 4 1/2" x 8' x 1" it has the initials PL engraved on to it. Vintage Antique Wooden Ice Fishing Pole with Beautiful Old Bobber
I have had this for a long time and always meant to ask a fisherman what exactly it is used for. I never got around to it. And through the process of researching it, I think it is an ice fishing pole that unfolds like a cross and lays down across the fishing hole and maybe has a tip-up. I could be way off course here, but if you are even looking at this, you know more than I do. I have to come up with a description, and it helps to know something about it. Anyway, it is made of orange painted wood, has a metal reel with some old fishing line, a long thin metal thingy(the tip-up? and a beautiful old bobber. Now as to the bobber, I have always thought it was wood, but I noticed that a lot of these listed say, cork and wood. I am leaning toward cork, with a wood stick. It has those wonderful old painted colors that remind me of the fishing stuff ... moremy Grandpa had. I was a child in the 50's. So I think it must be at least that old.
