This lot of 8 Ice Fishing Tip-Ups plus parts is Very Unique in Design. Six are black in color and very light wood and two are clear light wood. The parts are lightweight wood in black and clear wood with metal pointed legs! See pictures to view the pointed metal legs that go down to anchor into ice. They swing down to dig in and swing up to fold away as does the flag! The parts also have some of these legs/anchors mounted on them and well as flags. Vintage Antique Ice fishing pole holder and sled
Up for auction is an antique ice fishing sled and rod holder. It was made in the fifties by my neighbors dad. It has old hinges and screws on the top with a carved out handle and rope to pull it. It is slightly blackened on the inside from the use of a lantern.It has a galvanized sheet metal bottom with brass hooks on the inside for poles and tackle. This is a must have to complete the man cave or the cottage up north. It can still be used also if that's your intentions. It weighs 16 pounds for shipping.

Lot of 2 Wood Wooden Reel Antique Vintage Ice Fishing Tip Ups or Traps
This is a set of very nice old ice fishing rods or traps tip ups(not sure what they're called) that measures 24" long. Each has a wooden reel that moves freely and has line and a little ring that hooks on the trigger of the trap. Each also has a piece of flexible metal with a little red"flag" on the end that slides out and bends onto another piece. Setting the trap. When a fish gets hooked, it causes the pole with the flag to go up, telling the fisherman a fish is on. Everything is in good condition for the age. 6 Vintage or Antique Spear Spearing Ice Frog Fishing Decoy U.S. Line Company MA
Here is something unusual. Five old frog or fish spearing heads. One in particular is of interest here. It has the label mark for U.S Line Company Westfield. Mass with an eagle logo, and U.S.L. Brand. I believe this is very rare, I could not find any others like it in past or current listings on this site, I did find some catalogs from this company from the early 1950's. The item is like new, five tines, and measures about 3" x 7' x 1" There is also another one that looks like it is made from brass, or copper, it measures 4" x 9 1/4' x 1 1/8" It is marked, made in ND. Then there is one that is green, heavy steel, with an open tang, it measures 5" x 10 1/4' x 1 1/8" no markings which I can see. Number four is the bigger blue spear head 4 1/4" x 9 1/2" x 1 1/4" no markings. The last ... moreone is the smaller blue spear head 4 1/2" x 8' x 1" it has the initials PL engraved on to it. My thinking is that the smaller spear heads ar for frogs, and the bigger ones for fish. Please check out the pictures, and thank you for looking. Propay preferred. Vintage Antique Wooden Ice Fishing Pole with Beautiful Old Bobber
I have had this for a long time and always meant to ask a fisherman what exactly it is used for. I never got around to it. And through the process of researching it, I think it is an ice fishing pole that unfolds like a cross and lays down across the fishing hole and maybe has a tip-up. I could be way off course here, but if you are even looking at this, you know more than I do. I have to come up with a description, and it helps to know something about it. Anyway, it is made of orange painted wood, has a metal reel with some old fishing line, a long thin metal thingy(the tip-up? and a beautiful old bobber. Now as to the bobber, I have always thought it was wood, but I noticed that a lot of these listed say, cork and wood. I am leaning toward cork, with a wood stick. It has those wonderful old painted colors that remind me of the fishing stuff ... moremy Grandpa had. I was a child in the 50's. So I think it must be at least that old. It measures 4 1/2" long, round bobber part is 1 1/2" The folded up rod is 19 3/4" long. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask, but on this one, I don't know if I'll have any answers!
