Wonderfully-formed, Pike or Muskie Spearing Decoy was hand carved and painted by Michigan's Renowned decoy carver Gerald D. Finch(1931-2001) of Ashton, Michigan, a town located in the central area of Michigan's lower peninsula about 75 miles south of Traverse City. Mr. Finch is one of Michigan's lesser known fish decoy carvers but he has hand-crafted thousands of incredible spearing decoys ranging from fish to ducks to muskrats and frogs. His effective spearing decoys are all wonderfully carved, brightly colored and heavily weighted. Not only are they known for their aesthetic qualities, but also for their ability to bring big pike into your spearing hole for their last meal. Like many carvers, his shop was full of paints, brushes, cut fins and decoy bodies in various stages of completion. The cedar bodied decoy measures 7-1/4" long x 8" wide x 2-3/8" tall and weighs 8-ozs. which includes the perfectly poured in and more than adequately weighted lead ballast weights in the bottom. The decoy has all aluminum metal fins which are perfectly cut into the shape of the duck's wings and the rear rudder. They can all be bent to your liking to swim in whatever pattern the spearer prefers from tight diving circles to long sweeping ascending swimming arcs. The wood carving is astoundingly realistic for a drake goldeneye including the plump, round body, short, thick neck and puffy head with a stubby bill. These were just found in Oshkosh. Wisconsin. They were old ice-fishing poles hand made out of wood. There is a hole in the tip of the poles for holding the line from the wind-around plastic reels(Made from Line holders) on the top of the handle. This wood poles are in excellent condition and could certainly be practical to use or to hang on your wall as antiques from Wisconsin, the home of ice and snow and great ice fishing. They are about a couple of feet long. No reserve and a low opening bid. Top bid gets them both.

Lot of 2 Wood Wooden Reel Antique Vintage Ice Fishing Tip Ups or Traps
This is a set of very nice old ice fishing rods or traps tip ups(not sure what they're called) that measures 24" long. Each has a wooden reel that moves freely and has line and a little ring that hooks on the trigger of the trap. Each also has a piece of flexible metal with a little red"flag" on the end that slides out and bends onto another piece. Setting the trap. When a fish gets hooked, it causes the pole with the flag to go up, telling the fisherman a fish is on. Everything is in good condition for the age. Rare Antique-Wood Sole w/Spikes-Lamb's Wool Leather Nordic Ice Fishing Boots-BIG
I have never seen anything like these boots before! I found these recently at an estate sale in south Georgia-the previous owners were world travelers and their children told me these boots are antiques from Iceland or some Nordic country. They look to be handmade and one of a kind. Each boot measures 14.5" along the bottom of the wooden sole. Amd more than 5" wide. These soles are 1.25" to 1.5" thick! and also have some kind of spikes nailed into them to grip the ice. It appears that they were worn over other boots to fish on the ice. The top of the boots are made from leather(lamb) with the wool on the inside. There is a security strap inside and the front lace up with hooks all the way from the toe to the top. VINTAGE HAND-CARVED RED. BLACK, SILVER WOOD ICE FISHING LURE Original Vtg 7 1/2" Primitive Wooden Hand-carved Fishing Lure Red. Black and Silver Paint. This charming old hand-carved wooden ice fishing lure measures 7 1/2" long; 1/2" wide and 2" high. The silver paint appears to have been the original paint. There are two front tin gills(both rear gills are missing) and one tin head gill. The original lead weight is still mounted inside the bottom of the body. Nicely curved tail. Old Wood Ice Fishing fish traps Tip Ups & wood poles
Up for your consideration are these old vintage used Wooden Ice Fishing Tip Ups& wood poles. One of the tip ups is marked fishcrafters on the spool. The rest of the wooden fish traps tip up's do not have any manufacturers markings. The 2 wooden poles looked to be home made. Each tip up has a red& white paint job and numbered 1 through 4. I think these would make a cool display. I have not tested these fish traps tip-ups. If you intend to use these. They may need extra parts to get working. They will definitely need flags and new line. Being a used fishing item they do have rust, discolorations and dirtiness. Sold as-is Included 2 wood poles 23 1/2" long 1 Fishcrafter tip up.
