This GLASS-EYED lure itself appears to be un-fished. I can't say for sure if the box is correctly coded for this color. Shur-Strike color charting is extremely complicated as everyone knows. Early Folk Art Spinner / Single Hook Glass Eyed Underwater Minnow Unknown Maker
This early. 2-7/8" body alone) neat, nicely crafted old underwater minnow has a very pleasing look about it and the red painted fluted blade adds character. Probably inspired by the early Heddon Artistic, the spinnered Harkauf and similar lures of the time by other companies. The brass line tie wire is fixed and I believe"leaded-in" by the belly weight. So also I feel for the fine wire hook hanger. Exhibits a nice old patina. Has tiny nailed on clear glass bead eyes(hard to see fine cracking with naked eye- they are solid and all there) A classic old feathered treble completes this lure. With exceptional craftsmanship and paint these lures are beautiful! All lures in the Kieny collection by this maker were originally found in a partitioned Pflueger dealer box in the floor rafters of the basement in a house located in north Pittsburg. Pennsylvania PA. The house had been scheduled for demolition, and, fortunately for us collectors, these great fisherman made lures were salvaged. This is the next lot of several I will be adding in the next weeks, so be sure to check back often. These are a superb pair of Staffordshire seated hearth dogs with the white and gilt décor with the original glass eyes. During our research we have been informed they certainly date from the period of the 19th century. Certainly a wonderful portrayal of the large seated hearth dogs. A left and a right. Wonderful overall decoration with the hand painted detailing to the faces and bodies with the gilt. Collars and chains, Each has an overall height of about 11.25inches. Base sizes of about 8 x 4.25inches. Max dias including the tails of about 9inches. Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is very good to both with: one having a repair to the front rear corner. where are they are made using two moulds. The same dog has a minor groove across the top of the head along the join mark. No other major blemishes of chips. Cracks ... moreor restoration except: due to age. Overall fine crazing. Authentic vintage 1940's French glass eyed half mannequin & 1940's wig
This auction is for an authentic. Vintage, 1940's mannequin and the 1940's wig to go with it. The mannequin is a"half mannequin" since their is no lower body parts below the waist. She has no arms but one can tell that at one time there were arms for this mannequin. The shellac on her wig has become visible in a few spots as shown in photo#5. The mannequin is probably French and she has glass eyes, which seem to be pretty unusual. She is very pretty and sophisticated but she does have a few issues like a nose that is"skinned up" and she could stand to have her eye"makeup" touched up. There are some scuff marks on her torso and her chest. She would be great for modeling hats( which is what I have used her for) to model jewelry or clothes, etc and she shows off whatever she is wearing well. This auction is for one vintage glass eyed piggy bank that I consider to be in very nice condition. Hopefully you can tell by my pictures that she still has pinkish cheeks. The bank is about 10 inches ong and 5 inches tall. The paint or patina seems very good. The color is darker than what my pictures show as the flash lightens them up.
