Excellantly hand forged and tied together with a keyway to the main body. Spear has 7 tines measureing 7 1/4 wide x 8 long with a 48 inch handle with a hole to tie a retrival cord to. Shurely whoever built this spent many hours shapeing it. One tine has a small scar to the tine{ shown on the last picture on the outside tine} Hard to see. Sharp and has a wonderful patina. 2 Vintage Hand-Carved Ice Fishing Wood Poles - Nice !
These were just found in Oshkosh. Wisconsin. They were old ice-fishing poles hand made out of wood. There is a hole in the tip of the poles for holding the line from the wind-around plastic reels(Made from Line holders) on the top of the handle. This wood poles are in excellent condition and could certainly be practical to use or to hang on your wall as antiques from Wisconsin, the home of ice and snow and great ice fishing. They are about a couple of feet long. No reserve and a low opening bid. Top bid gets them both.

Up for auction are a recent estate find.This auction is for 2 ice fishing spearing decoys by unknown( to me) makers. The first fish decoy is white with red gill paint and drake green head.Nicely painted and carved with painted eyes. Metal fins and it is about 6 1/2" long. It has some age and rust on the fins and a crack on one side of the lure. See pictures. The second fish decoy or lure is light on the bottom and darker on the back with tack eyes. Nicely carved with original faded paint. Rust on the fins and is 6" long. Both for one price and if anyone recognizes the carver I would be happy to post that information. Up for Auction is a: it has a unique stop loss hook that comes under the fish to hold the fish tight up against the spear. The width of the spear outside tine to tine is approx. 4 3/8" wide. Tines are 6 1/2" long the spear weighs 2 pounds it is very sturdy and very well made. I do not know when it was made, but it looks very old. The tines are made of steel the receiver is made of brass or bronze it is not magnetic, and the large stop loss hook is also made of brass it is not magnetic either. The cone shaped bronze receiver opening is 1 1/2" in diameter, to receive a large shaft, it has four large screw holes to hold the shaft in Place.
