Up for auction is a custom Sage fly rod 9 ft 2 piece 7 wt RPL. This is a descent rod and reel comb for the price that I am starting the auction. This rod has a few surface scratches as well as a few other scratches as shown in the pictures. The rod does not come with a tube or rod sack. The rod will be shipped in a pvc tube and will be packaged right to prevent any damage from shipping. The rod will come with two reels as well. The first reel is a Cabelas prestige fly reel(with a few minor handling marks) that has only been used twice and is loaded with either a 7wt or 8wt line which loads this rod nicely. This reel has a few handling marks as show in the pictures. The second reel is a Cortland rimfly reel that is loaded with Cortland 333 9 wt line. Buyer pays $25.00 for shipping. 80's Martin 3 rod travel fishing combo w/Mitchell reels,Martin fly reel,unused
Up for consideration is this vintage Martin 3 rod travel fishing combo with three Mitchell reels and a Martin Fly reel. The travel combo appears to have never been used. Or may have been used once or twice. The Mitchell reels included are a model 8630 bait cast and a 2165G large spinning reel and a 2120G light spinning reel. The bait cast reel is the only reel out of the four that has line on it, so I'm assuming that this had been used. The Martin Fly reel is a Model 67SS-A and appears to have never been used. All the reels are in great condition with no user wear and all come with manuals and warranty papers. No scratches, chips, cracks, rust or corrosion. The bait cast reel does have a small paint chip on the housing. You can see this in the picture. This is the only flaw that I see on any of the reels. The take down Martin rods all ... moreappear to be unused also. There are five rod combinations. They are a 5 1/2' casting rod, a 6 1/2' spinning or fly rod, and a 6' 8" spinning or fly rod. The last two have handles that reverse for fly fishing or spin fishing. No scratches, chips, cracks, rust or corrosion, the rods and guides are still very shiny. The only flaw I see is the tip guide of longest rod is reversed, it looks like it was glued on wrong at the factory. You can see this in the picture. Also included are two small 4 compartment Martin clear tackle boxes with some tackle. These both measure 5 1/2" long x 4 1/4" deep and are 1 1/4" high. All this comes with a brown heavy duty vinyl carry bag. The bag measures 17" long x 8" high x 6" deep. This is in great condition with no holes or tears. This is a very nice Martin travel fishing set that would be a super addition to any fishing or sporting collection, or use it to fish with. The water trunks are Size 9 and I'm not sure if they leak or not they didnt 15 years ago but can't be certain now. The trunks so discoloration and the strap for the shoulders are frayed a bit.The two reels are Martins the loner pole 115 inches long is a Browning and the shorter pole is a Kunnan Spiraltech. All items so wear and scuffs no breaks on poles all hooks are firm and Intact. These items have all been stored in a smoke free safe climate temp for the past 15+ years. A very nice set. The rods were originally made as a matched set& although they are used. They show few if any signs of use& have been in storage for many years.
