Has three plastic-lined fold-out trays with 42 total compartments. Measures approximately 17.5 inches long by 6.5 inches wide by 6.5 inches tall. Good condition. Some typical dirt and wear-and-tear with age. One of three hinges has come loose in the back, but can easily be repaired. Little rust. VINTAGE UMCO CORP. MODEL 1000A ALUMINUM BOX
This is a used vintage UMCO CORPORATION. Made in Watertown, Minn. U.S.A. embossed aluminum tackle box Model 1000A. The rounded top opens in both directions to expose the contents, two racks of compartments 31 on one side and 22 on the other, not counting the full size bottom of the box. This used box still has the original hang tag from the manufacturer. Out of the 53 compartments one has some minor surface worm burns. Another compartment has a rough texture bottom with no idea what could have caused that. There are no dents or any other blemishes. This is a very nice box and looks great. Vintage Umco Model 173S 3 Tray Aluminum Tackle Box
Up for bids is a vintage Umco 3 tray aluminum tackle box. Box is 60's. 70's I believe. Very good condition for its age. Only one small dent to the right above the latch( which works) as show in the photo, other wise its just needs a good cleaning. I don't know what best for aluminum, so I will leave cleaning to the new owner. All of the plastic tray inserts have some degree of"worm burn" from mild to severe but are intact. No rust. Just oxidized. Storage under the trays and a compartment off to the side under the trays for a reel, spool of line ect. 25 tackle slots in all, 7 larger ones on the top tray and 18 normal size slots in the two trays below plus a slot running the entire length of the 2 lower trays in front of the tackle slots. Vintage Aluminum Tackle Box Double Sided UMCO Corp Model 11
This vintage aluminum tackle box has fasteners to clip both lids closed and a thin enough profile to be quite portable. The construction makes the unit rustproof. aluminum and plastic don't rust. There is an end d-ring to secure the box for hiking or backpacking I suppose. This model is rather ingenious and versatile. It measures just under 11" x 5" x 2 1/2" This example is in good shape though I didn't attempt to clean it one bit. I've had bad luck trying to clean aluminum so I figured I'd leave it to the new owner rather than risk discoloring another super cool antique. Almost everything I sell is vintage. Up for bid is this GREAT Vintage WOOD GRAIN UMCO 500WM. Has some wear to the outside some minor scratches etc. This is a very very nice tackle box. The only problem with it is the handle is broken off. It should be something that could be easily repaired. Measures 18" wide 8" deep and 9 1/2" tall.
