0 0 0 The basis of this 9 FT. 5 wt.fly rod is a WINSTON PASSPORT Blank. These blanks were designed by Winston and manufactured in China. They were rated by many(Including the 2011 Yellowstone Anglers 5 wt shootout) as being the best budget fly rod available. Two complaints were the cheap cork used in the grip and the very budget reel seat. I used excellent Portuguese cork in the handle shaped into a Western grip. The reel seat is unlocking and nickel silver with a maple insert. I was a commercial rod builder for many years so I know how to finish a good rod. This rod is in very good condition. No rod bag or case is included.
