So I don't have a need for this anymore cause I don't have time to go to the river. This would make an excellent present for anyone already into spey fishing or for a beginner. All you need it some 0x tippet and you are good to go! Included are: Redington CPX 7wt 12' 9" 4 piece spey rod. This is an amazing all around steelhead rod. It works great for both winter and summer run fish. I like the fast action. This rod can really launch bugs out there. Allen Alpha II size 4 fly reel. I have around 250 yds of orange backing on here. Also have RIO.035 blue running line. Even with the shooting heads. The reel has room left. The drag is awesome too. It has a wide range and can stop any fish you can think of. This is a Sage VT2 8139-4(8 wt. 13' 9" 4 piece) Spey Rod in pristine condition. I purchased this rod from the Leland upgrade program and have not used it once(check out my brand new reel, spare spool and spooled lines for this rod also for sale) If you know about the Leland upgrade program you know that the products sold are like new, at least that has been my experience. If this rod was used before I purchased it I can't tell where it was. The reel seat doesn't look like it had a reel on it. I suspect it was a store display. This is a great skagit line. I used it for two seasons and it is in great shape. This would be a good line for an 8 weight spey rod. I did use it on my 8 weight and my 7 weight. But found it a bit too heavy for my 7 weight. This rod is inventory from a fly shop that closed a few years ago. I do not know much about this rod. It could have been made in Kelso Scotland.
