W.S. Franke 7'6"1-2pc. For those whoever have visited a classic tackle show in the Northeast. you have probably seen Bill Franke. Bill was the owner of One Pfoot(machined parts for Pflueger Medalist reel) Bill built countless rods and rod components. He was a true gentleman. Whom I'm proud to have called him my friend. The rod was built by Bill from an Orvis unsanded graphite blank. The 7'6"1-2pc. The classic Orvis with the sleeve ferrule. The reel seat is a nickel silver cap and ring with a curly Koa insert. The reel seat prefers a thin reel foot. Like a CFO or Hardy. The wraps are red with a clean black tipping, very classy as are all of Bill's work. This rod has been in a rod tube for most of its days, it doesn't appear to be ever fished. Up for auction is a lightly us ed Custom Built 7 ft 4 weight 2 piece Fly Rod. Rod is at least 10 years old but blank brand is unclear. Very well could be Scott as this rod has spigot ferrules which they are known to use frequently. It is a quality rod and is built well. Has a cool"stealth" look to it and cast great and short to medium distances. Perfect dry fly rod. This is a great looking rod! The rod is sanded to a matte black finish with glossy black guide wraps. Reel seat has a sliding uplock ring and hardware over a beautiful maple wood. Rod is medium/slow a nd casts a#4 line well. Excellent"used" condition. Cork is very clean and rod has not seen much use. Selling my gently used split bamboo fly rod. It's 5'10" long. Perfect for casting under low overhanging branches. It's a fresh rebuild by my local fly rod guy from Shakespeare blank. Up for auction is one 6' 6wt, 2pc flyrod built on a FlyLogic FLO 6wt fly rod blank. All the parts are best quality purchased from a local rod shop. This is a personal rod of mine that I built and wrapped. The reel is an Airflo balance loaded with WF6F line and backing. This fast action 6wt rod can throw woolly buggers all day long and with the Airflo reel it balances perfectly. Great for the small headwater stream near you.

Fiberglass fly rod 8’ 2pc on Phillipson blank
I believe this to be an old Orvis kit rod using the Fullflex blank. The early yellow Full Flex blanks that Orvis used were supplied by Phillipson. This one is fitted with the Reeder-McGill seat. Which was the standard seat for Orvis kit rods, and Foulproof Aetna guides, suggesting it was assembled sometime maybe in the early 70’s. The seat works just fine, the ferrules have no issues, and none of the guides are ready for replacement yet. The grip is the standard cigar profile used by Orvis in the early 70's. Wraps are still secure. There is a small scuff above the grip on the butt section. Full Flex rods in this length originally were spec’d for 7wt lines but you may do OK with a 6wt. These had the durability we all recall fiberglass rods for, and this would make a nice streamer rod. Whoever assembled this tried to carve out a thumb rest ... morelike on the Wes Jordan models but they never smoothed it out. If you have concerns about a brand name, I suggest not bidding. Fiberglass fly rod 8’ 2pc on yellow blank
OK. This is my final rewrite for this rod. Decide for yourself what it is before bidding. It's yellow with nothing written on it. It's 8' long It has a Reeder-McGill reel seat. It has Aetna Foulproof guides It has no fractures There is a surface scuff on the butt section. There is a spot on the grip where someone carved out the cork for the caster's thumb. It is rough there. My guess is that it will work fine with a 6wt line. Sorry. No bag or tube. High bidder must make payment within 2 business days. US shipping addresses only, please.
