This box has definitely been used. It has paint loss and dings and scratches. The aluminum drawers have some bent edges. But it still folds up easily. The latches closes easily. The top and bottom are a little offset. The handle is metal. There is no plastic on this vintage piece. The name"Kennedy" is above the latch. Inside the top, is another label. You are bidding on a Small. Vintage Metal Tackle Box. This appears to be from the 1960's era. I would guess. It is metal, compartmentalized, and has a vinyl strap. It looks like maybe it once held a small thermos, ice pack, or other container that snapped into place. Whatever item that was, it is no longer present. I found this in an abandoned storage unit. It was full of stamps. It has a few rust spots here and there where the paint chipped off, but overall looks pretty decent. This vintage metal box is in real nice condition for it's age, the inside is very clean, the paint shines like new and there's no rust. This box looks like it hasn't been used at all. It measures 13-1/2" long, 6" wide and 5-1/2" high. The hinges and latch work as they should and the lid has a built in embossed 12" ruler for measuring your fish. Two. Vintage, used, metal, JC Higgins& unbranded, fishing, tackle boxes, storage containers. These items show overall wear including scratches. Discoloration, missing paint, staining, surface rust found, heavy rust to the brown JC Higgins box, and there are slight bends and dents to the metal of both bodies; both latches still work. We were told that the unbranded tackle box is a Union but we are not sure of this.
