This is a very collectable and desirable origional Lee Wulf Ultimate 1 pc 5 foot 10 and one quarter inch. 1 and 5/8 oz ultra light impregnated bamboo fly rod made by Farrlows of Scotland for mr. Lee Wulf I am a cane rod builder and I bought three of these rods in the late 90s souly for the purpose of collecting and having these rods on hand to mic the different stations. This one pc rod is one of my favorites and was one of Mr. Wulfs favorites. You can see this rod in action on his DVDs here on sale on E Bay where it shows him landing three Canadian brooke trout at one time totaling over twenty pounds total weight. This is the last of the three I have and im selling it because I no longer need it in my shop and i need the room. This rod was purchased from a small fly fishing museaum out of Nova Scotia when it closed. 1947 Mepps"CHUT CHUT" Fly reel Up for auction. Is a RARE"CHUT CHUT" Fly reel. This reel is in wonderful shape, specially for 66 years old. I bought this quite a long time back, when I was determined to be the BIG TIME Mepps collector of the west coast. Well, my interests spread, and now I have too many, of too many reels. I always felt, if you are a collector of a manufacturer, you collected everything they made. But you could die wanting, if you included lures with Mepps! But I did get as many reels as I could, loving the spinning reels first! This fly reel was a rare find from a collector in Sweden, mainly because I didn't even know Mepps made anything but the spinning reels. It has been a topic in my group, and a clean and interesting piece in my collection. As you might imagine, this reel is built like all of the ... moreearly Mepps reels, you could use it, on a hill, if your parking brake on your car was broken, and still fish with it when you got home! Solid, smooth, and a piece of fine older fishing craftsmanship! It has an adjustable drag, which goes along with their spinning reel fame! This particular one, is as nice as I have seen, of course I have only seen them in pictures on the Internet. Hardy Fly Rod, Collectable "JET" Glass Fiber Rod, 7' - 4 weight, 2 piece
Hardy classic glass fiber rod circa 1973 designed by the famed John E. Tarantino for Hardy. The rod is 7' long. 2 piece, and is rated for a 4 weight line as inscribed on the rod. This rod has been in the possession of the original owner since 1973 and comes complete with the original blue cloth rod bag with Hardy logo and a new aluminum rod case. The rod features an original Hardy aluminum cap and ring reel seat with diagonal knurling on the slide band and the Hardy logo roll stamped on the formed pocketed butt cap. The blank color is a rich brown with burnt orange wraps and brown tipping. The original owner's name is inscribed(small) in white ink on the rod blank. The stripping guide is in a classic soldered frame of the period with ceramic ring. The snake guides are hard chrome in the traditional"reverse" English twist. ... moreThe rod features high strength traditional"spigot" ferrules. The blank is constructed using high strength S- glass fiber but the action is soft and nearly identical to that found on many bamboo rods of this length which was Hardy's design objective for this rod as at the time bamboo was the standard material of choice. At the time, John E. Tarantino was considered the world's best fly caster and as such was used as by Hardy as the designer of this series of rods. A limited quantity of these rods were made and very few remain in existence. They are very collectable but are at the same time very usable as a fly fishing rod today for delicate fly presentation to wary trout.

ANTIQUE WOOD& BRASS FLY FISHING REEL The Reel seat has some wear but is a nice collectable for display. The handles are solid and in tact. The wood does not have any cracks. The reel turns easily but seems to drag in a couple a spots. This reel could definitely be cleaned up to have the brass shine. I removed the spool lock nut and did end up giving it a very small scratch which I will point to in the pictures but it isn't anything Big. MY BAD DARN IT! I like to be upfront with my items so you know what you are purchasing. NO Surprises Here! I did not see a makers mark on the Brass but I did not clean anything up to look so it may be there. The Walton Powell Rod 8' 6'' Fly Rod GUC Highly Collectable Very Fishable
I Found this Beautiful old rod at a estate sale. I have no info as to its weight. I believe it is Graphite buy looking at other listings. The reel did not have a line weight sticker on it. The windings look great. The guides are all in nice condition. If you know how to check its weight let me know. On my scales it weight is 3.5 ounces. The Walton Powell rod is 8 foot 6 inches long and is made from a dark material. Not much help am I. If you know how to determine what this rod is educate me. Thank You for looking.

Very Collectable In the 70's this was the next big advancement in Rod Developement. The BORON Rod was stronger and faster than fiberglass from what I have read. Found at a Estate Sale. Orvis Field Messenger Fly Fishing Travel Bag - Vintage collectable
Orvis Field Bag Vintage- Collectable I believe it is Orvis' version of a British Fly Fishing Satchel. I purchased this bag new at The Tyson's Corner Virginia Orvis Store approximately fifteen years ago for no other reason than it was so damn good looking! It joined my collection of similar bags(a few from Orvis) It is so impressive that I hung it on the living room cloak closet door of my log cabin as a decoration. I probably used it a half dozen times(if that) It has hung there for perhaps most of the fifteen years I have owned it. it's just do damn good looking. I'm retired now. And slowly selling off the toys I purchased while a Vice President with a corner office in Tyson's Corner. I am obviously getting ready to"downsize" I rate the condition as"new display" as it looks like new with little noticable ... morewear(see puctures) Probably the best evidence of how little this bag has been used is the picture of the leather bottom(no scraches or marks- just about perfect) It's size is approximately 11" by 14" by 4" Folks familiar with field bags will recognize this as about standard size for its class. The color is Orvis Khaki(folks familiar with Orvis will recognize this color) It's completely lined with an Orvis Green(another Orvis color) nylon material. And appears as though it is waterproof(although that's just my guess. It has two small front pockets(see pictures) One has a place for a pair of sunglasses or small camera and a key retainer. The other has a large pocket. A small business card pocket, and two pen pockets. There are three large pockets inside that run the length of the bag. The back pocket is zippered(perfect for an iPad or laptop) It has an open pocket in the back(perfect for a newspaper or magazine) You will notice from the pictures that the leather and brass are in excellent condition. Like I mentioned. It's been hanging on a door for quite a few years. It's a great bag! I am a regular at Orvis. And have never seen another one
