It is machined for aircraft grade, bar-stock aluminum, with an offset-gear Rulon disc drag. Orvis puts the recommended line sizes for the reel in the 3 to 5 wt. range. The listed capacity is 100 yds. of 20 lb. dacron with a WF3F line, and 75 yds. with a WF4F. The reel is in very nice shape. There are finish rubs on the reel foot from being on a rod. The frame and spool have no scratches. Except for a"4" the previous owner etched onto the interior side of the spool. The reel has some backing and a WF-4-F fly line, which, from the partial sticker and sunrise color, I believe to be a Scientific Anglers Ultra 4 line. It's an older model line, but still looks decent to me. The reel is set up for left hand retrieve, and is reversible to right hand wind. With the reel comes a zippered Orvis pouch in excellent shape. Orvis Field Messenger Fly Fishing Travel Bag - Vintage collectable
Orvis Field Bag Vintage- Collectable I believe it is Orvis' version of a British Fly Fishing Satchel. I purchased this bag new at The Tyson's Corner Virginia Orvis Store approximately fifteen years ago for no other reason than it was so damn good looking! It joined my collection of similar bags(a few from Orvis) It is so impressive that I hung it on the living room cloak closet door of my log cabin as a decoration. I probably used it a half dozen times(if that) It has hung there for perhaps most of the fifteen years I have owned it. it's just do damn good looking. I'm retired now. And slowly selling off the toys I purchased while a Vice President with a corner office in Tyson's Corner. I am obviously getting ready to"downsize" I rate the condition as"new display" as it looks like new with little noticable ... morewear(see puctures) Probably the best evidence of how little this bag has been used is the picture of the leather bottom(no scraches or marks- just about perfect) It's size is approximately 11" by 14" by 4" Folks familiar with field bags will recognize this as about standard size for its class. The color is Orvis Khaki(folks familiar with Orvis will recognize this color) It's completely lined with an Orvis Green(another Orvis color) nylon material. And appears as though it is waterproof(although that's just my guess. It has two small front pockets(see pictures) One has a place for a pair of sunglasses or small camera and a key retainer. The other has a large pocket. A small business card pocket, and two pen pockets. There are three large pockets inside that run the length of the bag. The back pocket is zippered(perfect for an iPad or laptop) It has an open pocket in the back(perfect for a newspaper or magazine) You will notice from the pictures that the leather and brass are in excellent condition. Like I mentioned. It's been hanging on a door for quite a few years. It's a great bag! I am a regular at Orvis. And have never seen another one

Up for sale is this vintage Orvis fly reel case. The case is made of leather and sturdy canvas. With a lambs wool lining. As the rumpled tag shows, it was made in the U.S.A. It has a diameter of about 3 3/4 inches and a height of about 2 1/4 inch. The case is made for smaller, traditional trout reels, and is not sized for reels with wider spools and long handles. An Orvis CFO III or a Battenkill 5/6 or a BBS III will fit, but anything with a diameter much over 3 inches may not. The case is used. But in sound condition. There are small scuffs on the leather panels. The green canvas has a stonewash look to it. The metal zipper tab has some finish loss, with the leather pull tab still in place. Interior looks fine. Vintage Orvis Trout Fly Fishing Fleece Lined Suede Zippered Case with Flies
For your consideration is a vintage Orvis fly fishing zippered trout fly case. It is a rust colored suede and is fleeced lined. It has a zipper that opens and closes on 3 sides of the case. The zipper pull has the initials"YKK" on it. Orvis is imprinted on the front of the case on the bottom right hand corner. It measures approx. 3-3/4" wide. And 5-5/8" long. When closed is measures approx. 1" thick. Inside are 21 flies of various sizes which are included. This suede case has a classic look and is in very good to excellent condition.

Wheatley Orvis Fly Box with Window Compartments and Clips for Fishing Rod Flies
Up for grabs is a Wheatley fly box made for Orvis. This is a classic style box with window compartments on one side and clips on the other. When I bought this box. Someone had dented one corner and I was able to straighten it out and now all the spring open windows work as they should(see pictures 4 and 5) Functionally, the box is very good and is a great way to keep your dry flies and nymphs on the stream. The box does show some wear, as you can see from the pictures. Great deal to grab a classic fly box inexpensively. See my other items listed.
