Lot of 13 Bass Pro Shops Hobbs Creek fly fishing rod and reel cases. Approximate dimensions are 28.5" long with a 2.5" diameter. These are all from a lot of returned merchandise from Bass Pro Shops. Most show very little wear and I tested the zippers and all work smoothly. One has the name Mike written on it in Sharpie and two have what looks like coffee stains. Two or three more have some dirt on them. I believe that these were part of a package sold with a rod and when the rod broke. The customer returned the rod and the case. Just my best guess. These items are sold AS IS, please look carefully at pictures and ask questions if necessary. These are very nice embroidered cases.

Up for your consideration. I have a vintage leather fly wallet developed in 1877 by"Major" Wakeman Holberton. Born in N.Y. City in 1839, he was educated in N.Y. and Europe. During the civil war he fought as a member of the"Sickles Brigade" After the war ended, he took up sketching and painting fishing/hunting subjects. Major" Holberton, at one time was ranked as the best of American Fly-casters. He made several journeys to Newfoundland and Labrador to hunt caribou and he fished in most every famous trout streams/lakes in America. He was also a N.Y. tackle dealer( Sportsman's Emperium) selling top of the line hunting, fishing, camping equipment etc. He married the daughter of Thomas S. Cummings an artist, with whom he had two sons. He died in Hackensack, N.J. in 1898. As you can see from two of the photos, he was ... morean accomplished artist! He was also an Author and in 1887 wrote"The Book Of Angling" How And where To catch Fish. This fly wallet contains 35 hooks and three gut leaders. The leather seems soft and pliable not brittle. All the hooks with the exception of three are in very good condition! It appears that the three hooks in question, were used to tied a fly. There are also( 6) single wire barbless hooks that were patented( pat. 196648) in Oct. 30, 1887 by Mr. Butler Edgar. Hooks size range from#1 thru 1/0 and 6/0 on the Edgar's. The wallet is beautifully signed, Eugene S. Harrisburg, PA and either N/W Holberton, mfg. N.Y. Here's a nice opportunity to own a wonderful piece of fly fishing history!
