The very small marks on the spool rim comes most likely from handling the reel. Nothing serious, and hard to detect on such a small reel. With the spare spool mounted it´s in perfectly mint condition. These reels are quite rare I Think. Made only between 1996 and the year 2000, and the# 3/ 4 is perhaps the rarest of all sizes. this reel also comes with a serial no. so it must be from a limited production run of perhaps 1000 copies. Serial no. is 951 on this particular reel. A lightweight, high grade reel from Hardy with superb Disc drag, perfect for higher grade fiberglass fly rods like Scott. Winston, Hardy. The aluminium fly box is securely riveted to a lovely leather wallet with parchment cast envelopes. There are some old flies in it. It has been used regularly until recently. The leather is in lovely condition and is supple with no cracks. Popper is fine. Box closes perfectly and is securely fixed to the wallet. Four parchment envelopes with a couple of casts in them. This vintage Hardy Box is in very good condition for it's age but doe's show some handling wear as seen in the photo. The lid is fixed to the box and opens and closes as a hinged lid. It measures 15cms by 16cms by 2.75cms deep. It dates to before 1935 as it is by Appointment to H.M. King George V. There are also some Vintage Fly Casts which are not named.
