This auction is for(2) Big Jon MD 04061 manual downriggers with 4' adjustable arms and 150' of stainless steel cable. These downriggers are used. But in excellent working condition. I will be upgrading to electric downriggers over the winter and no longer need this pair of downriggers. I added the line retrievers, which are a nice option, and will include with sale. In order to offer free shipping. I will need to unscrew and disasseble the arms in order to fit the downriggers into a smaller package. Bid with confidence and good luck!

Im 99% sure these are Big Jon Holders. There is no name on them but they bolt up to Big Jon Base and everyone I talked to sayes they are Big Jon. However. I am not 100% sure Rod holders are in very good condition. They do have some scratches on them from normal use but otherwise in nice shape. 1 Black rubber top is missing as shown in picture but has been dipped in after market rubber. top of main shaft) Bolt up to Big Jon Base or direct to boat. Big Jon Silver Capt. Pack Downrigger/ Siderigger Manual Set of 2
This is a really nice set of Big Jon downriggers. They have 3 piece sectional booms that extend to 4' and tip up for easy line set. They are spooled with 300' of stainless cable. They also have one hand operation for release and retrieval of balls. I only used these in fresh water on Lake Erie no salt. I really like these downriggers but I'm going electric. I will be taking the booms off these for shipping. They just unscrew. Thanks for looking

These are standard Big Jon power switches and cords. I took these off my Big Jon downriggers to install auto stops. Big Jon uses these switch caps on their downriggers and planer reels. If you part these out from Big Jon they are over 100.00 each. They include rocker switches. Circuit breakers with covers, switch caps, and both ends of the power cords. As you can see from the pics these are almost new condition with no corrosion on connections and no cracks in caps. For bid are these used 2 Big Jon Electric Downriggers w/ Rod Holders SS-Line& Counter fishin fish. To first let you know.These are 12 volt. I do not know much about these but i will try and describe. These come from a friend of my husband. He had 4 of these and has downsized to a smaller 16ft boat so no longer use these. These are used as you see in the pictures, but good condition, they both have a rod holder, line counter and have Stainless Steel line, as you see in the pictures. In picture 8 you can see they flip up and lock in that position for travel. The Big Jon decals on the motors as you see in picture 9 show scuf scratches and some pealing from use. On the side of the motor area is the Up/Down switch and reset breakers. These have a 2 piece booms, and from the center of the reel to the end of the booms is about 4' I do see ... moresome small scuf scratches on the rod holders, mainly by the orange adjuster nuts for adjusting the angle of the rod holders. These have not been used in about 2 years but they did hook them up to the boat 12 volt and tested them and they do work. These are in good condition as you can see in the pictures and would be great to have for your fishing seasons. I will remove the rod holders and front boom section and pack them secure for shipping. Up for sale are 2 older. But in great condition, Big Jon electric downriggers. They have been stored for over 10 years, as I just haven't used my boat for salmon fishing. When they were new they weren't used all that much, so bid with confidence that these will make a great addition to any salmon setup. For bid are these used 2- Big Jon Manual Downriggers w/4ft boom Rod-Holder& Line for fishin fish. The reels are cast aluminum and is marked in the casting. Big Jon. in the middle spoke area as you see in picture 4. There is a decal on the side as you see in pictures 5. That shows. Big Jon Inc, ph.616-223-4342. As you see in the pictures each has a rod holder, the booms are about 4ft and are fiberglass and the reels have Stainless Line. The reels have a adjustable knob on the side as you see in picture 4, so you can set how fast the weight will drop or speed of the reel turn. They have a knob on the other side as you see in picture 5(upper left knob) push in to stop the reel from turning or pull out to turn the reel. In picture 2 you can see they flip up and lock by a knob on the side as you see in picture 5(lower knob) good to have when ... moreyou trailer your boat for travel. These do have some scruf/scratches from use, on the rod holder red cap as you see in picture 10, has some dark spots, not sure what that is. On the top of the reel in picture 5, the back downrigger, there is a dent on the top of the ree above the oval hole, i think it bumped something but nothing is broke and it does not look like it will affect anything but i wanted you to know. As you can see from the pictures these are in good condition except for what is mentioned above about the scuf/scratches/wear, these would be good to have for your fishing seasons. 4 Big Jon Electric Down Riggers, 2 short arm 2 long arms, auto stops good shape
Up for sale are 4 Big Jon Electric Downriggers. I have used these for years several weeks of the year. They all work well. But one needs new ball cable, and one could use a new counter. 3 of these have the auto stop feature, both long arms have the ball retrievers to help bring the cable back up to the boat for us short guys. All in all I would rate them at a 7 or 8, and definitely have lots of life left in them. Parts are readily available, as well as accessories. These are the flip up style base that makes it easy to work with your baits. Only fresh water lake Michigan and Erie used.The power cables are about 10 inchs long.

2 Big Jon manual Downriggers with line counter and 3 pound cannonball weight
2 older Big Jon manual downriggers. I don't know much about these but I'll describe them the best I can. The larger one has an 8 inch aluminum reel and is about 26 inches long overall and about 12 inches tall. It has a line counter and everything seems to work fine except that the plating is peeling off the reel. The reel handle is slightly bent. I have not tried to straighten it. The smaller one has a 5 inch plastic reel and is about 24 inches long overall. There is a copper tube that the pulley is attached to. I don't know if it came that way or someone used it to extend it. The copper or brass mounting screw is seized up inside the aluminum housing. I haven't tried very hard to free it up. I don't want to break it. The stainless steel cable on both reels seems to be in good shape. I don't know how much is there ... morebut they both have snaps on the end. There are two line release mechanisms and a 3 pound cannonball weight. If for some reason you're not interested in the cannonball weight, it will reduce the weight and probably reduce the shipping. Contact me and I will tell you how much shipping will be without it.
