Nice addition to any downrigger. This pair of 6" risers will help get your riggers up to the right height. These do swivel and lock in various positions to stagger your fishing rods. They come with an additional angled mounting bracket that is made of welded aluminum. If you don't need the bracket. It can be unbolted easily. These are fairly old risers, but they are built very heavy and could be cleaned up and polished. They were painted silver from the factory and the paint is worn and scratched. Functionally they work great. I got them with some riggers I bought and I simply don't have a use for them.

This is different from the low profile swivel bases that you see by the hundreds on ebay. This one is built like a tank and is made from steel and aluminum. Cannon stopped making these many years ago because it was too expensive to make them from steel and aluminum. They started making the new low profile swivel base design which was cheaper to manufacture. Walker Downrigger Swivel Bases Two with mounting base and hardware
Up for auction are two Walker Downrigger Swivel bases with mounting plate and mounting bolts. The bases have been disassembled. Sand blasted and repainted because the original paint was really thin and falling off. When they were disassembled the roller bearings were degreased and re-greased with Superlube grease. The center mounting bolt threads were cleaned and the bolt was reassembled with Loctite Blue. They are all set and ready to go fishing. Traxstech Med 4 Inch Height swivel mounting base Cannon & Bert's
This is what I understand is a Traxstech Corp. 4 inch medium height swiveling mounting base for cannon. Traxstech, bert's and possibly other downrigger track mounting systems? Twelve position swivel plate with positive engaging 3/8 locking pin. Locks every 30 degrees. Item seems to have fallen off the side of a boat and bent one corner. Otherwise looks new. Doesn't seem to effect functionality and looks like could easily be straightened by removing base plate and straightening it. Good deal for someone who doesn't want pay $110.00 plus for a new one. Up for sale. A Bert's Custom Tackle swivel mounting base. In good used condition and ready to mount in your track system. Read on below for more info from the manufacturer. List price: $135.95 Bert's Adjustable Swivel Base is made of weather resistant aluminum. Corrosion resistant stainless steel and UV stable plastics. This product is made for both fresh water and salt water. For strength they use metal plates to back the bearings. The positive gear lock system is unique in that the swivel base swings free when you pull the lever and remains free until you release it. When released, the pin locks in the center of a tapered gear tooth that is machined into the swivel base. The gear tooth form has tapered walls so that the pin locks on the sidewalls of the gear and doesn't bottom out. This means that the swivel base locks in the ... morecenter of the gear tooth without play or wobble. The 12 position adjustment feature and the easy base rotation are handy when you have multiple lines in the water or you've got a strike and need to reposition the down rigger as the fish moves. Another feature is the use of a unique positive gear lock system that locks the swivel at 30°- 12 positions without wobble or play. It fits in any of Bert's track and utilizes two tension knobs to lock in into place. Bert's track has grooves that prevent movement after the swivel base is locked down and the adjustment lever is easily operated. We use Polymer bearings, top and bottom, so there is no metal to metal contact.
