You can also remove the part that fits in the rod holder and mount the dovetail base on the gunwale. These downriggers can be used for offshore large game fish and work just as well inshore for smaller fish. I do not have the cable weights for the downriggers. Two (2) Penn 600 Fathom Master Downriggers 24" boom
This offer is a PAIR of very clean Penn 600 Fathom Master downriggers. Each with 24" boom, 200 feet of stainless steel cable, swivel and clip exactly as pictured. These downriggers were used exclusively in fresh water on Lake Michigan near St. Joseph, MI. If you are not familiar with this downrigger, it works just like a fine Penn reel with a generous yellow drag control knob to let it down and a smooth operating crank to bring it up. A calibrated wheel dsiplays depth. These two reels seem to favor Steelhead and Kings. But they've also caught a few Lake Trout on slow days. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. I don't have much need for them since I moved to Fort Worth. TX.

These PENN downriggers have the add-on pole holders and add-on fishing pole holder mount. Just slip into your pole holders and your ready to go. only used a hand full of times, They have been in storage a about four years since I sold the boat. Cost over $900 new with the add-ons. 2-Penn Fathom-Master 600 Manual Downriggers Vintage NO BASES
Thanks for looking at this pair of vintage PENN 600 FATHOM-MASTER manual downriggers. There is a little bit of difference in style. But both are 600's. One boom from center of the end roller to black base is ~ 21 3/4in. The other boom measures ~ 19.5in. Drag works in both reels. Shorter downrigger is missing the cannonball clip and red roller handle as shown. Very good used condition. THERE ARE NO BASES FOR THESE DOWNRIGGERS. Feel free to ask questions.
