Here are a set of WORKING Big Jon electric downriggers. They have a longer boom. You can see the total length of the entire downrigger in one of the pictures. I recently purchased a boat that these were mounted on so I don't know much about them. I did connect a 12lb. cannon ball to each rigger and hit the switch up and down a few times. The motors are strong and worked like they should. One of them looks like it may have been worked on by the mounting base due to some ding marks in the picture. The springs on the line counters look fairly new as does the big swivels at the boom tips. One rigger has the normal steel cable and the other has a coated cable which I believe would be for a depth/temp sensor unit. There also was a Big Jon auto stop on the boat but was not attached to either rigger. I'll throw that in too. These are not ... morenew downriggers. They have some scratches. Dings, and everything is not"like new" perfect but they work as they should to my and the previous owner's knowledge. On Feb-27-13 at 08:32:13 PST. Two rail mount electric big Jon planer board cranks. I have not used them in 5 years. I stripped wire and plugged up to 12 volt one worked fine and other did not. I'm not sure what's wrong. They sit in garage but one DOES not work. The line on the reels is at least ten years old so I'm not sure I would trust it. There is about 2 feet of wire on each but could be spliced easily. 2 Big Jon Electric Planer Board Motors mounted on a Willies Planer board Mast. System has normal wear and tear and works great. I used this system with Otter Boats and the motors retrieved them with plenty of power to spare. The 6 foot tall Willies planer board mast has spring loaded pulleys to reduce the shock on the system when pulling boards in rough water. I used this system for 2 years fishing on Lake Michigan and it worked great. Includes line retrievers. 15ft of marine wiring& a forward/reverse switch for each Big Jon motor. Up for sale are 4 Big Jon Electric Downriggers. I have used these for years several weeks of the year. They all work well. But one needs new ball cable, and one could use a new counter. 3 of these have the auto stop feature, both long arms have the ball retrievers to help bring the cable back up to the boat for us short guys. All in all I would rate them at a 7 or 8, and definitely have lots of life left in them. Parts are readily available, as well as accessories. These are the flip up style base that makes it easy to work with your baits. Only fresh water lake Michigan and Erie used.The power cables are about 10 inchs long.

For bid are these used 2 Big Jon Electric Downriggers w/ Rod Holders Stainless Line& Counters for fishin. These are used and do work. They have the normal scuff/scratches from use. The decal/tag shows these are a model-BJ2000. Each has a rod holder, stainless line& line counter as you see in the pictures. These have not been used in a couple of years but we did hook them to 12 volt battery to make sure they work before listing. From the center of the reel to the tip of the boom is about 23" the other one is about 1 1/2" shorter(or about 21 1/2" from center of reel to tip of boom) These are 12 volt. These come as you see them in the pictures and they look in good used condition with i would say normal scuff/scratches from use and would be good to have for your fishing seasons trolling.
