Two (2) Penn 600 Fathom Master Downriggers 24" boom
This offer is a PAIR of very clean Penn 600 Fathom Master downriggers. Each with 24" boom, 200 feet of stainless steel cable, swivel and clip exactly as pictured. These downriggers were used exclusively in fresh water on Lake Michigan near St. Joseph, MI. If you are not familiar with this downrigger, it works just like a fine Penn reel with a generous yellow drag control knob to let it down and a smooth operating crank to bring it up. A calibrated wheel dsiplays depth. These two reels seem to favor Steelhead and Kings. But they've also caught a few Lake Trout on slow days. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. I don't have much need for them since I moved to Fort Worth. TX.

Classic PENN"FATHOM-MASTER 600" DOWNRIGGER UNIT, still in very good overall condition& ready-to-go for angling use once again, composed of black resin frame w/ slip-fit base& rod holder, plus 24" gold anodized alloy boom, 8" dia. black anodized alloy spool equipped with woven, stainless steel wire line, controlled by removable, red& black hand crank on right side, plus yellow dial line counter on left, and cable pully at top of boom with articulating head for cable control, plus wire line end pre-rigged for attachment of various weights, planers, lure combinations for either fresh or salt water angling. The PENN factory"slip-fit" base with secure screw-down locking knob on very bottom of the unit is for attachment to any of PENN's proprietary base plates(standard ... moreor swiveling) of course. Condition is quite functional still, with NO cracks, dings, dents, broken/ missing parts, or other"problems" that we can see, though you will require the correct PENN base mount. And the stainless cable needs to be fully run out, visually checked, and then oiled& re-spooled we'd guess. but that's about it! Not including the wheel at the end. As photo show, there is a crack in the aluminum at the tip, it appears to be just cosmetic, its a very thin crack approx 1" long and its only all the way thru approx 1/8" so its more of a surface defect. The crank grip is pretty well dried out and pieces are breaking off. The blue tip around the rod holder is in the same condition and is heavily worn as photos show. Comes with wire on the spool.
