After many successful years of manufacturing and distributing the release. They sold the business and the product was made in China. Several years ago, that company closed their doors and the product was no longer being manufactured. I fish with braided line for Salmon in the NW. And there is no other release on the market that works as well as the Pro Release for this kind of fishing. I decided to see if I could get my hands on the molds and bring the release back to the market and manufacture it in the USA. I worked with one of the original inventors and an entrepreneur in Indiana to redesign new and improved molds for the latest injection plastics technology. Lot of 2 - Older Pair of Walker Electric Downriggers - Rod Holders and mounts
Nice pair of older Walker electric downriggers. Newer wire on both. Rod holders attached. Upper mounts included but I do not have lower portion. Both units work well and are strong. One has a small crack in the housing and has a touchy switch. The switch can be easily replaced for around $20 but it never bothered me enough to fix it. Normal wear and blemishes you would expect on this vintage but otherwise a great pair of well built downriggers ready to go fishing.

2 Scotty Downriggers adjustable boom Manual w/ holder, swivel base
A pair of Scotty manual downriggers in great condition. The boom extends from 34 to 58 inches with the turn of a thumbscrew. The line winder. Brake, and counter work perfectly. There are 2 mounting plates that I had on a trolling bar on the boat, but can also be fastened to the boat w/phillips screws. These are great because you then simply attach and detach the downriggers to the plates w/thumbscrews, 4 for each. The base pivots up and down to make it easier to do whatever you need to do with the weights, line etc. The base also turns w/the release of a lever, so you can spin and pivot the rigger. The spools are filled w/cable, and there are clips/releases for weights and lines attached to the ends.

Here are a set of WORKING Big Jon electric downriggers. They have a longer boom. You can see the total length of the entire downrigger in one of the pictures. I recently purchased a boat that these were mounted on so I don't know much about them. I did connect a 12lb. cannon ball to each rigger and hit the switch up and down a few times. The motors are strong and worked like they should. One of them looks like it may have been worked on by the mounting base due to some ding marks in the picture. The springs on the line counters look fairly new as does the big swivels at the boom tips. One rigger has the normal steel cable and the other has a coated cable which I believe would be for a depth/temp sensor unit. There also was a Big Jon auto stop on the boat but was not attached to either rigger. I'll throw that in too. These are not ... morenew downriggers. They have some scratches. Dings, and everything is not"like new" perfect but they work as they should to my and the previous owner's knowledge. On Feb-27-13 at 08:32:13 PST. 4 Penn 820 electric downriggers, boating, fishing, trolling
Up for auction for the last time are these older awesome Penn electric downriggers. All 4 have 4 foot booms. Swival matic bases, custom canvas covers, fully loaded with cable ready to fish. One has some epoxie near the base where someone tried to repair a small crack. I personally do not beleive it is damaged at all. All of them work exactly like they should, just a little dusty from sitting in the barn. There are 4 wire connectors so these can be wired right in your boat. These are awesome old downriggers and will no doubt give you years of service. There is also a small section of boom that goes with them, might be a top section? I'm not sure. With telescopic booms(extend from 24-53" standard mounting bases, and new cable on both! The Uni-Troll 10 is the later-model. TOP END Cannon manual downrigger, with a HIGH SPEED RETRIEVE, 1.5 spool turns per crank)this means much less work than a comparable Big Jon, Penn, or older Cannon( Uni-troll 6, Dual Crank, etc. If you run manual downriggers, these are the ones you want! Upgraded to the newest style. 2007+ spools! This is the only pair on eBay with this done! Although many think(or claim) there is no difference between Cannon Uni-Troll HP. And the newer Uni-Troll 10(made after the Johnson Outdoors buyout) THAT IS WRONG! Cannon made significant changes to the spool ... moredesign to solve a long standing problem. The Uni-Troll HP spool was a three piece unit. With a thin and brittle spool, and two"half moon" shaped filler inserts. The inserts screwed into the base spool to effectively make the spool larger and increase retrieve speed. Unfortunately this design was flawed in many ways, as the spools frequently flex and crack, and the cable gets stuck and tangled between the filler inserts. If the spool fails while a weight is in the water, you can say goodbye to it, as well as your fishing trip for the day. Often times they do not give any kind of warning signs, and the only way to tell whats going on is to un-spool the cable, remove the inserts and inspect it. One of the spools on even this well-maintained pair completely came apart, and after inspection, the other had started to separate as well.this is a very common thing. Needless to say both spools have been changed to the new style. And for a graphic explanation, please review the last photo in the listing. Cannon Mag 20 DT Electric Downrigger Downriggers (B)
This Auction offers a used Mag 20DT– I use the word USED very sparingly. This thing is in excellent condition and was only used a couple of times. It has the original cable. I did not run it out but I think it has the original amount of cable on the spool. I bench tested this thing and the up and down switch works well and the motor sounds great. A lot of 2 Canon manual downriggers with line counters and 29" booms. They have wire on them but I do not know how much. Have releases on the ends of the wire as pictured.
