Great vintage crappie stick here. Approximately 8' the vintage plastic(possibly bakelite) reel works as it should. The handle has some original corks inside of it, 2 are not in great condition one is in good shape, they are very small. Vintage Sabre 2 Piece Ultralight Spinning Fishing Rod 5.5 ft 2-8 lb Class 2 Rods
You're bidding on two vintage Sabre ultralight fiberglass freshwater fishing rods. These are the original California Tackle Company products. Both are 2 piece. 5.5 foot, 2-8 pound class. One is a custom made rod on a Sabre blank made by"The River Rat" of Arizona. Both rods are in excellent shape, the wrapping is still intact with no unwinding or deterioration of the epoxy. Guides are straight with no rusting. The tip of one rod appears to have had the guide re-epoxied, but no damage to the blank. The hypolon is still soft after 30 years. One of the reel seats is marked"Varmac" the other is unmarked. Nice high quality rods which are still perfectly fishable or collectable. Offered is a vintage. Original, 1970’s ORVIS(Phillipson) FULLFLEX spinning rod in unused condition. The rod is fiberglass and measures 8 ft. long. It has 2 sections and tipover ferrules. The downward locking cork reel seat is 20 ¼ inches long which is great for long 2-handed casts. Recommended for lures ½ to ¾ ozs. This rod has a very slow and sensitive action that is very similar to a bamboo rod. The high quality aluminum rod tube is new from Landmark Components and has ORVIS graphics. The real seat shows barely a scratch. The cork is unsoiled and appears completely new. The finish shines beautiful over the unsanded blank. Spigoted ferrules fit perfectly and are unscrathed. All wrappings and guides are elegantly placed. This rod is a true piece of art that has never been fished but for a few hours. To those who know them. The Scott ARC(Active Resin Composite) may be considered among the finest rods ever produced. Each one is hand made at the Scott factory in Telluride Co. by their best and finest craftsmen. Excellente optique particulièrement bien construite. Celui-ci a bien travaillé. Il en garde un léger jeu dans les bagues. Et des poussières(sans incidence sur l'image) sur l'optique. Il reste néanmoins parfaitement fonctionnel et de vrait servir quelques décennies encore. Je me débarrasse d'une partie de mon matériel.
