The cork grips are very lightly soiled. The maroon anodized aluminum reel seat is embossed the the Fenwick eagle logo. H.L. Leonard Bamboo Fly Spey Rod Great Condition Cheap enough to fish
NO RESERVE AUCTION You have the opportunity to fish with a fantastic piece of American history this spring. I have found an H.L. Leonard spey(2 handed) fly rod that is in great fishable condition without any need for work. This rod has been fished and cared for over the years. The only bad thing is that it has a profession repair on the last eye before the tip top. All I can see is a 3/4 inch length of clear wraps that is barely even noticeable. No bag or Tube. I will package properly in hard tube to insure it arrives in this exact condition. I do not know exactly what year this was made but I think it may be he an earlier model. 10 foot 6 inches total length. 3 piece, 1 tip. Each section 42 3/4 inches. All the Nickel Silver hardware looks to be in almost like new condition Ferrules are perfect. Pop taking them out. No clicking when making ... morea casting motion Clear undamaged agate stripper guide Cork is smooth with some ridging from use over the years Blood red wraps are all solid and the varnish is not cracking on them Female ferrule on main handle piece states the following Pat Sept 3 1879 Oct 26 75 The tip top has a symbol or letters that look something like a P on top of an F Micro alignment dots machined in the ferrules Removable rubber butt cap Varnish looks like it could be original and is scuffed. Tempered Split-Bamboo Bait Rod with Heddon Rod Bag and Heddon Tube. The exact age is unknown but believed to be from late 1940's era. HEDDON#850 ROD MARKINGS: The rod is marked on the sides with J.
