Vintage "MONTAGUE CASTING ROD" split bamboo w/agate guides
This old. 5 foot long casting rod has on oval label marked"MONTAGUE EEL RIVER" and is also marked"Genuine Tonkin" in script on the base of the split bamboo. Everything, including the finish, Agate guides, wrappings, ferrules and cork grip appears to be original. The rod is in good condition for it's age, but does have wear on cork grip and finish on split bamboo(see pictures) US bidders only please.

The tip was replaced with a PacBay Hialoy#4 micro tip. And it was wrapped as well. The grips, other guides, and reel seat look very good. I spent about $40.00 replacing the guides. It would have been much easier and cheaper to have just replaced the 1st micro. And the tip, but I installed the#12 stripper(because I think all micros need to start larger) moved 2 more guides, and added the#6 to make the transition smoother, and to eliminate the stock 12 inch spacing between the first 2 guides. Antique 8'8" Bamboo Casting or Trolling Rod 3/2, Bell Guides, Three Ring Tops
This unmarked rod has the Chubb railed nickel silver plated downlocking slide reel seat. The butt section is 1" short and I believe that the female ferrule on the butt section is a replacement. The large bell guide on the butt has been rewrapped. Note that the male ferrules on the tip sections are spiked. One of the two tip sections is 1 3/4" short. All of the bell guides on the mid and tips are tiny. The cane is sound. No delamination, and the finish is good. There are fishing sets to both tip sections. I wouldn't expect anyone to fish this rod. No bag or tube.

Meant for 12- 25 lbs line, made in USA. Features heavy duty rubber grips for handle, Fuji reel seat and Fuji guides. Neat guides too, they are made of a rubber backing and have the metal guides clamped around it to hold in place. All guides tight, free of any rust except for tip guide has some slight corrosvie residue that has been cleaned up. Rod is straight and clean. Shows some light surface scuffing on rod down by handle, and lettering starting to fade a little. Rubber grips have a couple insignificant stains. This is a Vintage C. Farlow& Co. of London Bamboo Fly Rod. This is the Brunswick Model and is a 3 piece 2 tip with a length of 8.5 feet. The rod has been refinished and is in great shape. This could use a 6 weight line. It has the vintage casting style guides. Agate tip tops and the ferrules look to be brass. The reelseat and grip are all 1 piece with sliding band. All of the decals and writing are legible and in perfect shape. The butt cap is removable to add a fighting grip. The rod comes with original Farlow sock with snaps and ties and a metal tube. This is a Vintage K. Rankin Bamboo Fly/Salmon Rod. The rod was made in Belfast. Northern Ireland. The rod has a name of"Shelga" It is a 3 piece rod with 1 tip. It has casting style guides and has a length of 10 feet. It is missing the stripper guide and 1 guide on the tip is messed up and need to be replaced. The ferrules are brass and fit nicely. The reelseat is like those of Hardy and a downlocking style. The cork grip is 8.5" long and the but cap can come off to a fighting grip. The varnish is fair and there are some intermediate windings that need to be redone. The tip top is an agate/glass guide. The tip is also short by.75" by design.
