It's a St. Croix 7.5-foot two-piece fly rod, custom made by maker JW Trout on the classic medium-action SCIV blank, which was manufactured in the USA. The rod is rated for a 4/5 line; I like it with a SA XPS WF 5-weight. It's a good size for smaller streams where you may run into a bigger fish. Rare Sage LL 486-3 Fly Rod with Blank Warranty Card Beautiful Excellent Cndition
This is a beautiful used Sage LL Fly Rod. Graphite III construction. Three piece. Eight and a half foot for four weight. Cork is barely soiled as this rod has only seen the water a handful of times. Seems I neglect it so it should be in the hands of someone who will give it water time. There are a some slight scratches to the reel seat end but these could be buffed out. Amazingly, the nickel silver is still pretty shiny. Maybe not as bright as the showroom days but still looks really nice. I have gone over the rod and cannot see any scratching or dings to the blank. There is barely any indication that the rods ferrules have ever come together as I always kept a good layer of wax on them. This has the split ring hook keeper as well. All wraps in great shape. No chunks out of the cork. The tube shows wear but is perfectly round. Cap fits perfectly ... moreand still has the rubber seal. And the most amazing part is that I never filled out the original warranty card so that comes with it as well. Vintage Fenwick 6'6" 6pc custom travel rod, Ferulite blank, near mint rod, Look!
Up for auction is a vintage Fenwick Ferulite 6pc. 6'6" spinning rod. I recognize the blank. But it looks like the Fenwick decal flaked away over time. There is a tiny black pc. of it left on the second section. The reel seat also has a small scratch on it from someonens rough footed reel. The rest of the rod looks perfect. I am not sure if this was a custom build, or not. It is pretty tough to find info on it. If it is a custom build, I would say they knew what they were doing. The craftmenship is outstanding. If I had to guess, I would say this rod was a Light. Probably had a 3-6# or 4-8# rating on it. The sections match perfectly, and there is no shortened section or signs of repair. Note on the label says the blank design/model never made the catalog. I cannot say he didn't take it out to test it, but it doesn't look it. Would be a good rod to repair or you could possibly use it for parts with the blank. The Fenglass blank is marked CA-604. It measures 62 1/4" and is full length at 63" with a tip-top guide installed. Up for bid is a Fenwick fishing rod blank. This rod is about 63" long. And it says on the sticker- says HMG Iron Hawk- Graphite- Blank No. HCA 605. There is nothing that I can see written on the rod, and I think it has ever eyes on it. It does have a ferrule attached that looks like it might fit on of the old Fuji handles.

Very well could be Scott as this rod has spigot ferrules which they are known to use frequently. It is a quality rod and is built well. Has a cool"stealth" look to it and cast great and short to medium distances. Perfect dry fly rod. This is a great looking rod! The rod is sanded to a matte black finish with glossy black guide wraps. Reel seat has a sliding uplock ring and hardware over a beautiful maple wood. Rod is medium/slow a nd casts a#4 line well. Excellent"used" condition. Cork is very clean and rod has not seen much use.
