2 PENN SPINNING FISHING REELS
Here are 2 nice PENN Spinning Fishing Reels that need a little TLC. PENN 440 SS High Speed Reel and a smaller Reel that is missing it's name plate. 440 SS is in nice shape.Bail flips over.The screw is loose on the Bail Arm.Needs to be tightened down or serviced. Anti-Reverse works fine. The smaller Penn Spinner is missing it's Name plate so i'm not sure what model number this Reel is. It's an older Reel like the 722 models. The Bail Arm sticks sometimes when flipping over.Not every time.Needs a little oiling up.Reel works fine otherwise. Thanx for looking and good luck bidding!

2 Penn SENATOR 12/0 Model 116 Fishing Reels
Up for auction is a pair of used Penn SENATOR 116 12/0 Fishing Reels. These reels are in good cosmetic shape and appear to work correctly. They have been in storage for many years. But were serviced before they were put away. Everything moves smoothly on them and there is no hesitation in the retrieve. There is light corrosion as would be expected, but they both are pretty clean. The rod support bracket on one of them is broken as can be seen in the pictures, and the adjusters on the rod support brackets are a little tight and need lubrication. Also, one of the handle attachment screws for some reason won't screw all the way in and a washer is in place to secure the handle. Please see pictures for close-ups of condition. Pair of Choice Condition PENN Senator 14/0 Fishing Trolling Reels
For sale here is a pair of choice condition. PENN SENATOR 14/0 star drag, deep sea trolling reels and they are complete with both rod brace assemblies, rod clamps and retaining nuts. The handles are the much-sought-after-by-collectors wood color and the spools are the preferred chrome-plated brass. The 14/0 is also known as PENN's Model 117. It is designed to bring in the largest of game fish and carries 750 yards of 130 lb. test monofilament line and of course a much larger amount of modern Spectra or Braid. It has a gear ratio of 1.6 to 1. Cosmetics are excellent and so is performance. The drags work perfectly well and the clickers are so loud, they could awaken Ted Williams. The 14/0 has been a great workhouse of a reel for over 70 years and these two have been sisters for along time. I will not separate them. These reels are fully ... morespooled and have a top shot of thick. Leader-like monofilament that appears in great shape. Because of the difficulty of removing all of that line, I cannot express an opinion on the condition of the underlying spools other than to say there is no evidence of any problem. The black bakelite side plates are still shiny, a good indication of little exposure to sun or sea. Boat rash is almost nonexistant. The only downside I can find are two wide one inch long scratches on the right side plate of one of the reels. My name is Charlie Pettersen. They each come with a minimum of 100 yards of heavy stainless steel line.They each come with rod clamps. 4/0 Ball Bearing Spindle 3 1/4 to 1 gear ratio Holds approx 550 yards of 30 lb. line Both reels show a little rust on the side which has the handle and drag assemblies and flip levers. The second reel pictured shows only slight signs of use. The first one shows a little more than the first. The box for one the reels is not the original box. Vintage fishing reels lot of 3: Penn, South Bend, Shakespeare
Up for bid are 3 vintage fishing reels. The 1st is a Penn Reels 101 spinning reel. 4:9:1 gear ratio. Looks good works great. I've used this spinner myself, I know that it works great. The 2nd is a South Bend SpinCast 63 Model A(Made in the USA) Good ole fashion reel that still works. Great as a collectable or take it 2 the lake! The 3d is a Shakespeare NO. 1765 Wonderflyte Model EG(also Made in the USA) Another good vintage reel but not in working order. Has all the pieces just doesn't engage after button is released. I don't really tinker with these but don't imagine it's a hard fix. All 3 of these reels are great collector pieces without the hefty price tag. While preparing to retire to a small cabin in the"Great North Woods" i came across boxes of fishing and/or hunting related promotional memorabilia and past year's salesman's samples. I had collected these gifts to our retail store from various manufacturers over many years but recently sold the store and have no room to continue storing them. THIS one is really quite uncommon. Even our local PENN Reels salesman didn't remember ever having seen another one! We figure it dates back to the late 60's or early 70's but may be earlier. PENN Reels has changed hands several times in recent years making ORIGINAL PENN promotional items quite collectable. This is a black, circular, plastic ASHTRAY about 3-1/4" in diameter with three cigarette rests between which are the words: PENN- FISHING- REELS" It features ... morea nicely detailed, saltwater sailfish or tarpon jumping out of the water and the words: DEPEND on PENN" in molded raised lettering. They're very easy to use and will flat out put the bait out there. Just keep the mag slide on slow or#8 until you get used to the reel and bird nests are a thing of the past. Don't touch the spool until your bait hits the water.Smiles I've always cleaned and stored them inside and have kept a cover on them to keep them from getting beat up. I found a bottle of"Red Rocket Fuel" oil that I'll put inside the box. Both Handles have been upgraded to the oiler knob style. Strong clicker, cranks good and show use wear and do have a little corrosion. 4/0 has a peice broken off crank sideplate as in photo. 209 has owners marks on sideplate. Great light saltwater reels. Up for your consideration is this pair of used Penn baitcasting fishing reels. This lot includes a Long Beach#60 and a Peer#209. These are right-handed reels. One of them still has old line wound on it. The Peer reel has the cross winding mechanism that goes back and forth. And the Long Beach was made to not have one and winds on the reel freely. These reels work great and look good too. I am selling all of my baitcasting reels. As I hardly ever fish anymore. A great pair of reels to use or for the fishing reel or lure collector. This auction is for(2) vintage Penn 85 fishing reels. Reels are bakelite with plastic spools. There is saltwater corrosion on chrome parts. Reels are functional with good strong clickers. There is light surface scuffs from normal use. Number on foot 30-85. The one reel is broken by the foot but still functions. see pics.
