ROD DRYER 4 RPM MOTOR.This is a DAYTON 4 RPM motor with mounting bracket holes. there is a collet I made on the shaft that can be removed if you do not want to use it. the collet was made so you can insert a metal rod with a butt cap on the end to hold the rod in place while it turns to dry the finish. 3 1/2" long x 2 3/4" wide. it has 5 mounting threaded holes.You can pick what ones you need to mount it.some only have 2-3 mounting threaded holes this one has 5 for diffrent board monts. Rod Building Drying Motor - Synchronous - 5/6 RPM
DRYING MOTOR This is a great little motor. 5 to 6 rpm's, used with a drying stand for fishing rod repair or custom building. I used several of these, so I could dry several rods at once. This is a metal housing, metal stem(on back) and metal brackets for attaching to drying stand. I made mine by looking on line, couple pieces of pine board and you are up and running. The label on the motor states that it is made in China and it has a rating of 5-6 rpm and is 50/60 Hz. 3 watt. This is a synchronous motor. Clockwise only. FISHING ROD BUILDING HAND WRAPPER (7'-0) with DRYING MOTOR STAND (2'-0)
I built this to build fishing rods for myself. All of which were made from one piece blanks. Main wrapper is 7ft long with a splice at 47" for easier shipping. Five rod support brackets. Smaller 2'0 base for the dryer motor and roller stand. I also used this base as a practice station to learn different wraps. I practiced on aluminum arrows but you could use wood dowels also. Drying motor is 4.8 rpm used for applying finish and turning while the epoxy dries so it does not sag. If you unplug motor then replug the motor will change direction. Rod Tying And Drying Motor
This rod drying motor has dried one rod and then went to the closet. I can admit that my fly tying is much better than my rod tying. It works perfectly. Don't build a rod without a drying motor.
