Patagonia Wading Boots- Size 13(but run small- see below) These boots are identical to the one's I recently listed. With one exception: They don't have cleats and are felt only(no provisions for cleats/studs) And so. Often, when buying wading boots you want to size up one to accomodate neoprene booties. While these boots are a size 13, I would recommend them for a guy with a street shoe size of 11 or 11.5, but not someone who just sneaks into a size 12 street shoe; otherwise, these boots are terrific. These boots are true to width and fit my more-than-average wide-fitting feet fine; however, I am a not a super-wide. just a hair wider than average, perhaps, in the fore-foot, below the toes. Another piece of helpful/important advice. My feet are precisely 11" from heel to top of big toe measuring from the bottom of the foot. And ... morethese are a tad snug in the toe for me. My neoprene booties are just under 12" from heel to toe measuring on the bottoms. If your bare feet are 10.75" or less and your wader's neoprene booties are comfortably snug without excess bootie, you should find these boots comfortable. Please measure your feet before bidding. And. Feel free to ask questions- someone is going to get a real nice, stable, supportive and LIGHT pair of wading boots, here- they also drain nicely. They are also a fantastic color- grey and charcoal black. These boots are in very good condition and have barely seen use- no issues of rot functionality in any way. They have been washed after use and dried appropriately. I am sad to say goodbye to these. These would be my primary boot if I didn't have such a large Big toe. TFO BVK 7wt. 9' 4-piece. The rod is in great condition. Bought this rod last winter and it has seen very little use. I primarily boat fish for smallmouth using a TFO BVK 6 wt backed up with the TFO Jim Teeny 5wt. I really bought this 7 wt on a winter impulse. The rod does not have a hook keeper. It came new that way. I slipped on a rubber hook keeper(see picture) and it works just fine. Just slip off the rubber hook keeper if you do not want to use it. The only difference between this rod and a new one, with the exception of the hook keeper, is the price.

This is. Admittedly, an odd piece. But a quite remarkable one. Made in the late 1980s this is possibly the lightest float tube ever made-it literally weighs ounces! Simple old doughnut design, integral stripping apron and suspenders, signal orange, even has a hull id# Self sealing(i.e. self-repairing) neoprene film lines the nylon structure; two air chambers inflate by the mouth and lock/seal; three pockets(one can function as a back rest-see below) The ideal tube for back packing and/or long hikes into back country lakes. This thing was built to last in spite of its being a featherweight. It literally shows no wear. A bit about Del Canty: The man was legendary. He was famous for catching enormous brown trout in Utah's Flaming Gorge Reservoir. He invented this float tube and would fish out of it for days on end in the foulest of weather ... morein pursuit of"lunkers" Hence the name"Lunker Hunter. He stuffed the rear/center pocket with a sleeping bag and away he went. I am not joking. I met Del Canty when he was in his 70s while fishing out of a lodge on Alaska's Talichulitna River: here I am in Alaska for the first time, in my 20s, fishing out of a comfortable lodge when one day this guy comes bobbing down the river in one of these float tubes-he had been flown into a lake some 50 miles up-river and floated the length of the'Tal all by himself, grizzley bears be damned, to catch rainbows and sockeyes! Truly a piece of fly fishing history. Judging by what's available on eBay in the way of float tubes this should sell for about $50; but being what it is, as a collector's item(did they even make enough of these to collect? and associated with Del Canty who knows what its really worth.I suppose we'll all find out. Got married in Feb- 2010 and have been working to improve space in the garage ever since. Now it is summer. 2013 and it still holds dozens of lots of angling library that need new homes. Happily, they have been stored in closed/sealed boxes. Overview There are teachers. And then there are teachers. When it comes to fly-tying instructional books, you will see quite a few by first-time authors who never make it past the first or second title. There's nothing wrong with them; they just don't quite have the necessary market ... morepull for a publisher to justify the expense and risk of producing and marketing another. Sitting here writing this, I can think of only four American authors from the mid-1970's to the present who managed to put out five or more fly-tying instructional books. They are 1) Poul Jorgensen; 2) Dick Talleur; 3) Randall Kaufmann and 4) Skip Morris. The first two are now deceased and Kaufmann's latest work is a colossal volume of fly patterns, something of an Index Maximus that you must pay for in gold bars. Skip Morris is still at it; he takes pains to show that for most patterns it is acceptable to use any one of a number of different hooks, and he also encourages tiers to substitute dubbings and other materials as well. Furthermore, he tends to avoid patterns that have already been covered umpteen times by other writers/ photographers.
