I converted the plastic handle handle into a cork handle and really nice reel seat- this makes the rod a 4 0r 5 star rod. All parts are in excellent condition. The reel has been cleaned. This is a very nice vintage Shakespeare Fishing Rod. Will make a great addition to someone's collection. Right above the handle it says. Shakespeare, Spin or Cast, NO. PB-A11, 5"6" Measures 55" now. Appears this rod was shortened for some reason. It is a 2 piece rod. The assembly slides are in very good condition, comes apart like it just came from the store. 3 eyelets. All on the tip end of the rod, none on the handle end. The cork handle is in good condition. There was some masking tape on it, so there is some glue residue. The screw for holding the reel in place moves freely. NOTE: I will be away from my computer. The bottom eyelet is missing the black rubbery plastic that surrounds the eyelet but it has not been a problem the few times I fished it. Antique Victorian Alnwick Hardy Fly Fishing Rod Snake Eyes Cork Handle Date 1899
HARDY TEN FOOT FLY ROD. I first started fishing at the tender age of eight. Now into my sixties I have been through it all, pleasure, match, running clubs and ponds and now the more relaxing bite-less hours of carp fishing. Over the years I collected ABU and Mitchell reels and a few rods. This was my Holy Grail of tackle and took pride of place when talking vintage tackle, it is exactly as I purchased other than the annual polish I had to give it, the condition is not good but for its age I suppose that can be forgiven, the non-prefix number points to 1899 I think, the cork handle is very fair with reel rings and stop ring all intact, the rod itself has issues with the varnish in places and slight curvature that I am sure will correct, original Hardy snake eyes are correct other than one missing, the remaining ones have rusty surface again ... morethis is correct as the eyes would have been steel wire produced, the top eye is twisted, the ferrell's are the Hardy Twist Lock but are probably the worst feature of the rod, the female needs re-whipping and the male has all but lost the locking pin to rust. It is complete in a rod bag possibly original but again in poor condition. Well there it is. Probably one of the oldest Hardy rods you will see on ebay this year, needing a expert to bring it back to life or as myself just a great talking point. I do find a 3/4" long split on the metal rod that accepter and shown in the photo. The total length of this metal piece is 2-3/4" long and is still secure to the pole. Overall in good used condition. Vintage Aluminum & Cork Fishing Rod Reel Handle, Release Trigger with Rod Holder
Here is a vintage. Old, original, fishing rod handle with a move able trigger release and a vintage rod holder. The trigger release works great, for releasing the rod from the holder. There are no maker names on it. The cast aluminum handle is 10-1/4" long and the collet for a rod has an opening of about 7/16" Includes the square steel rod which measures with the handle 54" long.

For bid is this good condition used Vintage Pflueger 315-FY 8ft Fly Rod w/ Cork Handle for fishin fish. I do not know much about fishing rods but i will try and describe. This is my fathers. This rod is marked as you see in picture 2. Pflueger 315-FY Length 8' This rod does not look like it was used that much, the eyes or line guides look good, the rod shaft looks good, the cork handle looks good and the reel mount area looks clean. This fly rod is a 2 pc and both lower and upper sections are about the same length so i would say the tip was never broke and put together it is just over 8' This rod looks in good condition as you see in the pictures and would be great to have for your fishin seasons. This is a vintage Fenwick fishing rod that I found at a Seattle area estate sale. It is marked with the Fenwick decal FS83 8' 3" 6 1/2OZ. It is excellent condition. Fairly clean& nice, just light wear from use(see pictures) No condition problems, the cork handle is nice. It comes with the felt bag& plastic tube, the tube has a chip the top cap.
