Old vintage bamboo fly fishing rod, cork bobbers, rock weights; very cool.
I found this rod and it might even be more than one rod because there is almost 200 inches of bamboo here(around 16 feet total) Look at the pictures because I literally have no idea about bamboo poles. One of the small pieces has a breach in it that needs to be repaired if one is to actually fish with it. Or you could just leave it off(it's the smallest pole piece) The hand points to it in one of the pictures. Also included is the old hardware on it.old hook is still on it and the bobbers are made of cork(pictured) There are markings on the rod but no name, so I have no idea who made it.

9 foot Cortland fly rod with a Okuma Integrity 1 7/8 reel and mountain cork case
Cortland all graphite GRF-1000. This rod is as smooth and accurate as ANY rod I have ever had my hands on. It is a slow action that would be closest to the Superfine by Orvis or the G series by Scott but in my opinion. Smoother and better casting than either one of them. This is a 6/7 weight rod. The rod comes complete with an Okuma integrity 1 7/8 reel with line. It also comes and an Okuma fly six compartment fly box with spring loaded glass lids on each compartment. This rod comes with its own Mountain Cork hard rod case with a compartment for your fly box, extra line or spare reel etc. Perfect shape with very little use. This whole outfit looks pretty new. The Pglueger#1774 reel has a light wear with very minor paint loss. It has a few small scuffs or light scratches. It is wound with a thick yellow/green colored line. The rod has a cork handle that has some wear; some indentations and paint loss. The cork is all intact but turns on the main frame. The steel rod extends to 9 feet long! It extends very well; is not too loose or too tight. It has four solid brass eyelets that are in solid condition. The rod has slight discoloring and or light scratches. Antique Victorian Alnwick Hardy Fly Fishing Rod Snake Eyes Cork Handle Date 1899
HARDY TEN FOOT FLY ROD. I first started fishing at the tender age of eight. Now into my sixties I have been through it all, pleasure, match, running clubs and ponds and now the more relaxing bite-less hours of carp fishing. Over the years I collected ABU and Mitchell reels and a few rods. This was my Holy Grail of tackle and took pride of place when talking vintage tackle, it is exactly as I purchased other than the annual polish I had to give it, the condition is not good but for its age I suppose that can be forgiven, the non-prefix number points to 1899 I think, the cork handle is very fair with reel rings and stop ring all intact, the rod itself has issues with the varnish in places and slight curvature that I am sure will correct, original Hardy snake eyes are correct other than one missing, the remaining ones have rusty surface again ... morethis is correct as the eyes would have been steel wire produced, the top eye is twisted, the ferrell's are the Hardy Twist Lock but are probably the worst feature of the rod, the female needs re-whipping and the male has all but lost the locking pin to rust. It is complete in a rod bag possibly original but again in poor condition. Well there it is. Probably one of the oldest Hardy rods you will see on ebay this year, needing a expert to bring it back to life or as myself just a great talking point. This is for A Nice Vintage Steel JC Higgins Telescoping Fly Rod with a rusty Lawrence fishing reel on it. The pole is still in pretty good shape with just some minor surface rust on it. It still telescopes pretty good but does stick some on the middle section. It Measures about 8 foot 6 inches from the tip to the end of the handle when telescoped out. It is about 43 inches long when pushed back in. The reel is a Lawrence but is pretty rusty and missing the handle. The side graphics still look good thats why I left it on. Vintage 11.5ft Cane and Cork Fly Fishing Rod
I know nothing about fishing rods. But after a bit of research, this seems to be best classed as vintage. It comes in a nice tartan case, but the case and rod do not match, as the case is much longer than the longest section of the rod. The first attachment is bent a little, due to use, no other issues. Vintage fishing rod cane wicker over 100 years old for fly fishing cork handle
A very old rod which my Dad has owned since his Dad gave it to him. my Dad is 91) So in all a very old rod. Some of the schlack whippings are coming undone but the brass fittings are lovely and would polish up nicely. It is very long and is in three pieces which fit together. Comes in a bag made by my Mum in the 1960's. No spool with this only the rod. Would be a nice piece to ad to the poolroom or tackle room. Any questions please ask. Vintage fly rod. All-aluminum except for the cork handle. Approximately 78.75 inches long and separates into two pieces for travel. Also included is Champion Cal-Air aluminum fishing rod holder in which it has be stored. The Champion tube measures 41 inches long and 2.5 inches in diameter. The rod has no manufacturer's name or mark on it. It seems very light and appears to be in great condition. The tube has one significant dent near the opening and the label is very worn. Despite those cosmetic details. It seems to be very sturdy. Both of these items are from my grandfather's collection. Insurance and expedited shipping available for an additional cost.
