DESCRIPTION: This is a Westside Models BRASS HO scale Southern Pacific. T&NO BAY WINDOW CABOOSE made in Japan by Micro Cast Inc. This model has been spray painted and decaled for T&NO#534 and comes with original box. Foam, trucks and KD couplers installed. Please note the condition paragraph for additional details. And refer to the photos which are actual photos of the model and box you will receive. MODEL CONDITION: For normal layout viewing distances this model looks fine. But on close examination the paint job has flaws. For starters the box identifies it as a class C-40-5 but it is decaled for a C-40-2. While the original paint was neatly sprayed without runs. The decal work is slightly shiner than the paint finish(see close up photos) The underside has places that were missed with the black paint. And there is a rub or scraped ... morebubble flaw on one side next to the car number shown in close up photo. The"window glass" was made with a window film liquid that has an uneven appearance. On one end the film liquid got on the exterior paint finish leaving it shiny. The model has jeweled marker lamps. But one of them is detached and in need of re-gluing. The marker light brackets are nice but it is not known if they are an add or original? One set of steps is very slightly crooked(probably a builders error rather than damage so see photos) Most viewers may find these flaws acceptable for operations or running trains. But just in case you are a perfectionist or want to make it a display case model, we have included an unused set of decals in case you want to repaint- Champion Decal Co HC-252"Southern Pacific Caboose steel Bay window" decal set not pictured) Other than the flaws mentioned above, we found no dents. Dings and no loose or missing parts or other problems BENCH TEST: We did not test run this model. BOX CONDITION: The box is fully intact with no torn corners. This lovely diminutive Native American Makah basket was woven by Helen Peterson of. I believe, Neah Bay. It is my understanding that she was one of the tribal elders. This basket was purchased by a couple here in neighboring Vermont, who collected many pieces of Native American art. I am also listing a beautiful tiny pot from Sky City,New Mexico from the same collection. The basket still has its original tag from the Heard Museum Shop in Phoenix, AZ. 1943 National Geographic Map of Pacific Ocean and the Bay of Bengal(r48) This map is in very good condition! It measures approximately 36 x 26 inches in size. Please be aware that these National Geographic Maps are anywhere from 10 to 90 years old. They are printed on paper that is not acid free and in most cases have not been stored in the best way. So the maps you are buying may be in a condition that reflects both of these facts. The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. They may also be discolored or mottling spots again due to the acidity of the paper. The borders of the maps may also have small tears. On occasion maps may smell musty from the way they have been stored in the past. When the map is kept in an open area the musty smell will fade away in ... moretime.
