Up for auction is a Jann's Netcraft Rod wrap kit in the original box. It includes the 3 table attachments along with the instruction manual. There is also a 48 page manual from Flex Coat- Step by Step Rod Building. This Flex Coat manual is a fully illustrated guide to building your own fishing rod. It even includes hand written notes from the previous owner. Also included is a 1 page document showing guide spacing for SCOTT 2 piece rods. This is dated 07/29/1997. The printout appears to be from a copier(not an original document) NOTE: Handwritten notes are only in the Flex Coat book and on the guide spacing sheet. Edition made in 2005 and so far as I can tell complete in box except most of the parts are off the trees and there are no directions. I never used those myself. Does include a tube of model cement and some paint which came with the kit. Also there is a very small decal thing but I don't see where they would go. Also box says it came with a paint brush but that isn't there either. Someone opened it but apparently never started on it. Box not bad, a little wear. Never came sealed in plastic, just a couple of pieces of tape to hold it together. International buyers please inquire for more precise shipping rate. This auction is for a post world war II vintage five piece split bamboo fly and casting rod with a wooden Olympic storage box. On the outside of the box is a sticker that says"Open. your Lucky Box" It was manufactured by Ueno Seiko Co. LTD Japan and has stickers stating"Made in occupied Japan" It can be used as a 8’ three piece fly rod(with extra tip) or a two piece 5 ½’ casting rod. All sections measure 32 ½” There are 2 very cool sliding doors that reveal compartments within the 34.5X3.5X2.5 inch storage box that contain original decals. 13 hand tied flies, 3 bobbers with bell, a leader holder and 3 snelled hooks. The rods, lures, flies and bobbers were made by ARAI, ASAKUSA. The six inch cork handle has an up lock screw reel seat are in great condition. On the end is a green rubber bumper that pulls out to ... morereveal an empty space inside the handle to store extra flies. There are two snake eye guides on the mid section. There on the fly rod tips and two on the casting tip. There is a stripper guide on the bottom section. The bottom section and casting tip are all in very good condition and fit together perfectly. The mid and tip sections have a tight fit although they do engage fully(see picture) It will not affect the casting or use of the rod. It is made for freshwater and salt water fishing. The bamboo cane and varnish finish look to be in their original condition and are gorgeous. The wooden storage case has some water stains and 1 latch is not working. All of the accessories are in good condition. The casting action on the fly rod is incredible! It has a classic wispy bamboo cane action. Wait until you try it. Up for auction is this early hot rod by Monogram models I can't remember the exact year I bought it but am sure it was no later then 1964. It was in a box with some other models and some of the parts came loose. I think I found them all and will include them in a separate zip-lock bag. It is the windshield frame. Windshield firewall, and top. The dash and floor board are loose but still in the car. This is an original and not a re-issue. I bought it new and assembled it 50 years ago. Complete 1953 Sakura 5 Piece Fly Fishing Rod Kit In Original Oak Case By Sukarai
NO BIDDING- NO WAITING Wow- what a find. This appears to be a Sukura Model 104 5 piece combination fly and casting rod set. This is an authentic Sukaria brand product from Tokyo. Japan. There is an 8' fly casting option; a 5' 3" bait casting option; and, a bamboo fly fishing rod combo with cork handle. The kit is contained in a fitted oak case. One end of the case has a price sticker showing the original date of 4-53 and the original price of $6.50 on it. There is also a Sukara decal between the two stickers. The top of the oak case has the label shown in the second photo. The first photo shows a loose label or decal that is rolled up inside the case. The 3rd photo shows all four broad sides of the oak case. The case opens to the fitted section holding the five rod sections. The top half has a tackle section holder with two sliding ... morecovers. Included as tackle are 3 bobbers, a line winder, a ribbon of lead weight, a tin of split shot weights, an(Anacin) tin with hooks, and 3 fly hooks. All connectors and eyelets are intact. This may have been sold in Japan as the rolled up label says good souvenir for foreigners. And in 1953 Japan was still occupied and only domestically sold products would not have to been required to have been marked as such. Disclosures: some of the varnish and winding are deterioated; and. The decal that was on the rod handle is mostly gone. Condition- good or better used as found original as noted above. Unknown Maker Hot rod of some sort. Includes body. Front clip, and glass piece only. No other parts. Glass piece is unbroken but has slight glue residue. Body and front clip have paint marks throughout but are unbroken. Body is painted black on the inside. Measures about 5 1/2" front to back. 1/24 or 1/25 scale I think. If you have any questions.
