Over 2 dozen used reel seats that were salvaged from vintage bamboo fly rods plus a few other rod building things. Most are in working order but no guarantees. Many have a piece of masking tape on them just to keep the parts together. A few may still have a section of bamboo blank inside but most do not. Many are broken near the top and could simply be retipped and fished with. Others are broken right in the middle and would probably be for parts only. There are quite a few different brands. Such as Penn, Shakespeare Ugly Stik, Daiwa, and Offshore Angler. There is a 7' Offshore Angler boat rod in great shape where the blank isn't broken and just the tip is missing. you are bidding on a 7 inch degaussing coil and 16 inch grounding rod. The degaussing coil is store bought and has only been used one time. It work perfect when I used it. The grounding rod is home made. Its made from a 16 inch screw driver 3/8 inch thick with a 12 gauge cable connected to a squeeze clip. I drilled a hole through the screwdriver and soldered the 12 gauge cable directly into it. It works perfect for those people that are leery of grounding out a monitor. I have used many times and never had any problems with it. I'm selling these two items based on the idea that you know how to properly use them. Vintage Bamboo fly rod end sections. There are 3 of them. All three are complete with circle tip. The line guides, and the metal male joining sleeve.They seem really fragile. They measure 36 1/2, 34 1/2, and 33 inches from tip to joining end. No manufacturers marks or other markings. Eyes seem tight. Good to add to your rod parts to complete them. The case is light weight wood with black velvet covering it. There are 4 grooved slots to place each part of the pole. There is a metal end on one side, but the other is missing. Rough, but working. Nice looking cork handle and reel seat and has the old school wire guides(eyelets) Looks a bit rough but is not cracked or split! Will still make a great deep sea or surf casting style of rod! Vintage 11ft.x 6 piece Whole Cane Travel/Poachers rod -- Spares or Repair only
Vintage 11ft.x 6 piece Poachers/Travel rod in Flamed Whole Cane with Greenheart top section- for Restoration/Spares/Repairs only. 5 Sections are 23" long& the top section is 17" making 132" Top section maybe 6" short who knows? Handle 17" long is Polished wood with Brass fittings.Ferrules. Brass& good.Butt section Female ferrule needs re-glueing! Will need new set of rings& perhaps a new top section. Rod has usual scuffs& scratches associated with age& use. Sorry no rod bag with this lot. Rod will be well packed& posted 1st.class recorded delivery requireing a signature. Happy Bidding.
